Respectful Transitions Respectfully Transitioning Sentimentally Significant Trees into Timeless Treasures of Art. Hi, my name is Tom, I am a Certified Arborist from Bloomington, MN.

I’ve been in the Tree Care Industry for 7 years and connected with a whole bunch of great people. More and more, I find myself connecting with people who have “Sentimentally Significant” trees. My current passion is to help people reduce the amount of grief they experience from the loss of a Tree by creating a lasting memory, or memento, of their special friend. In some cases a Tree has lived its

life to the fullest and needs to move on. In other cases a Tree may need just a bit of TLC. In either case, there is usually an opportunity to create a lasting memory, or memento, of the Tree in the form of a “natural edge bowl” or other creative piece. I’ve had the honor to create many of these vessels, as well as additional vessels from the wood collected from these projects. Thank you for visiting my page. I invite you to also visit my website, http://www.respectfultransitions.com and I hope you find what you are looking for. Respectfully,
Tom

LAST CALL 2018 Pricing/Investment.
Short Story:
Investment for TreeArt Tripling

Long Story:
Triple your price and offer a discount - sage advice?

In 2009 an artist representative saw me at my first public display and exhorted: "triple your price is immediately and offer a discount".
(Unbeknownst to me “some” people like discounts....)

She was right - for what I was creating in 2009 at the $395 investment level, artist were selling then, and now, for multiples of what I have been asking - not even considering that I harvest and custom create from YOUR TREE!

From that wisdom, and the possible continuance of what I do as an artist, this is my path for 2019 - my beginning investment will be $1,200 (and no discounts).

If that aligns with your path as an “custom/original art” appreciator, feel free to contact me after the first of the year to open discussions about what’s possible for you and your trees.

If you’ll end up feeling “left in the dust” (and then Really can’t afford it) connect with me before December 24th to lock in one my last $595s of my career.

The Jury is Out, The Winner is IN
My 2018 Design/Image of the Year

On the delicate underside of a one-in-a-lifetime commission vessel, this image captures the essence of a tree's journey into expansion.
At the point of bifurcation, or branching-out, a new branch "sends back" it's magic in a way that can only be wondered about.....
Why not shoot straight away?
Why linger and conjoin?
As if to "reach back in" to the original branch, the new branch leaves a sign for us to witness, that at the point of departure, there is sweet and utter magic that lives on.....

Only Mother Nature can create such magic, and I....
I am blessed enough to reveal it.

SweetHeart Series Vessels available for Valentine’s Day !
(Anniversaries, Weddings, and other Lovely Events too)
Email me: [email protected]

In the case you’d like to give your “Sweetheart” something singularly unique for Valentine’s Day, I will be creating several of my “Sweetheart Series” Vessels next week for delivery by Valentine’s Day.
They will be created from a Red Cedar Tree growing near the confluence of the Mississippi and St Croix Rivers at the border of Minnesota and Wisconsin.

I create these vessels in “pairs” to represent “togetherness” by crafting both from a single log (which you see in the pictures below from V-Day 2014)

Literally coming from “The One”, being created together and individually at the same time, they model the highest form of relationship: Individuals Together as One.

My initial vision for them was to nurture the concept “When Two Become One” as gift ideas for Weddings and Anniversaries,

While “pairs” are popular for SweetHearts, so are individual pieces from the Red Cedar

My favorite customer story to date is about friend wanting to celebrate their 15th wedding anniversary. They’d planted a hawthorne tree at their new home, only for it to die 10 years later. After “saving a piece" of the special tree in the garage for 5 years, he connected with me and asked if I could make a custom creation - which I was honored to do.
When I delivered the vessel a couple weeks later, he pulled out a small gem bag, slid 15 red crystal hearts into the vessel, held it up and said “what do you think?”. Through tears of inspired joy I could only say “That’s one in a million - just like you”

If you’d like to have a single or a pair for your Sweetheart or yourself:
Please email me at [email protected]
(do not reply here or private message)
I will be happy to send you details.
