Malama Olowalu a short film about a grassroots protest by native Hawaiians against the State of Hawaii. The state takes in millions in revenue but hardly maintains the roadways and refuse to move the highway away from critically delicate habitat. This was filmed in 2016. Long before the Lahaina Fire locals were compaining of the dangerous conditions along this highway. The State government never listened to the people.
