One of the best ways to taste local food is to actively plan time to seek out markets. Usually filled with locals, these culinary destinations can help showcase some of the best regional flavours.
We’ve explored markets from Singapore, to Brazil, to Oman and everywhere in between.
Here in Frankfurt, Germany we took the butcher’s suggestion for one salami with truffle and chose a mixed cured meat selection to create a custom sandwich. Paired with kaisers from another vendor, spicy wasabi peanuts (not German 🤣) and a Hugo spritz, it definitely was a great lunch on the go.
Frankfurt is a bonus stop for us on our tour through Germany and we are happy we made it for the weekend.

Together we can realize our travel dreams. Sure, any one of us could rent a car and drive some nice roads. But the best way to experience the #backroadsofgermany is with friends, both old and new. One of my absolute dreams was to cruise the autobahn and take in the curves of the alps. I cannot believe, in some ways, what we’ve all been so fortunate enough to experience in these last 8 days.
