순창 용궐산 하늘길 opened a few years ago and since then they have added even more mountainside trails (and a 4,000won entrance fee). It’s a pretty easy hike (45min to the top) and surprising its dog friendly. The trail zigzags up the face of the mountain so it’s nonstop views all the way up :)

The Gwangju Lake Eco-Park (10 minute walk from the house) has opened new sections of trails and now connects to the dam on the other side of the lake. It’s family friendly (no dogs) and plenty of shade cover along the trail. It’s the easiest 5km+ of hiking trails in all of Korea so no excuse to miss out 😂

A few weeks ago KBS arrived at our house with a 50-person crew to film for the TV drama 효심이네각자도생! Last night (Dec 3rd) some of those scenes aired on KBS. If you ve ever been to the house it’s worth a watch! Strong possibility we ll be featured in future episodes (next weekend) as well :)

Our Story

The Damyang House is a private house/minbak in the Damyang Countryside. The small private detached guesthouse in the shared garden (we live in the main house) is available for daily/weekly rent. 3 persons max. Pet friendly. Bikes available and complimentary firewood. A beautiful area to spend a day or two!
