🍷 Gattinara: Where the Business Lunch Was Born! 🤝
Back in the 1500s, Mercurino Arborio, a noble from Gattinara and advisor to King Charles V, had a secret recipe for successful deals — wine! He believed Gattinara wine could “soften hearts” and make deals smoother and used to serve wine to ease political negotiations.
And just like that, the “business lunch” was invented!

Lake Como's eastern branch (also called 'Lecco's branch) is far less known than its twin opposite side, yet it has a lot to offer! Today we want to share a winter picture of Pescarenico (suburb of Lecco), a former fishermen village, also described in Alessandro Manzoni's historical novel 'The Betrothed', the story of two young lovers, Renzo and Lucia, prevented from marrying by the petty local tyrant. Walking into its narrow streets you can still enjoy a timeless atmosphere and see some fishermen's nets hanging out to dry!

Christmas is a time for family and for food: we wish you to relish the company of the ones you love, we wish you to cook together, to share a nice bottle of Italian wine, to play games especially of cards, to hear all the stories about the past year and to embrace and give warmth and love.
We are taking a brief vacation until New Year to celebrate with our families and friends, but we'll be here for you when we come back!
