Between my morning hike, the Monkey Forest, the waterfalls we visited yesterday, and a Hindu religious processional, I had a lot of great options for stuff to post. But this is hands down the cutest.
A guide told me the other day that school in Bali at ages 5 and 6 is dedicated exclusively to singing and dancing; learning the alphabet and reading doesn't start until age 7.
I've stumbled upon young people practicing music and dancing around the various temples on a few occasions. These little girls are taking their dancing pretty seriously. And I am no dancer, but they seem pretty darn good for their age.
Of all the excursions I have done all over the world, Captain Marvin's Sting Ray City and Snorkel Tour for $45 is one of my all time faves. I just love cuddling with those cute sting rays!
Back to one of my happy places: Grand Cayman! I just bought an action camera (aka a GoPro knock off) and am excited to capture some video with it.
Two years ago today we went on a guided bike ride to the villages just outside Luang Prabang, Laos. A highlight was a quick, improptu visit to this primary school. These kids and their teacher were kind enough to let me film them saying "Hello America".
We were excited to arrive to Hoi An and nearby An Bang Beach yesterday, but these kids were REALLY excited! We spotted them running to the beach and into the sea in their clothes (jeans, shirts, sweaters even), screaming with delight. We walked by as they were posing for a group photo and they insisted I join them, which I was happy to do, their excitement and glee was contagious. I asked them where they were from and how long it took them get here. They said it took them 22 HOURS from their village in Vietnam ON MOTORBIKES and it was there first time in the sea.
Happy Chinese New Year... from the Denver Bronco Cheerleaders? Wasn't expecting to see them in the #hongkong #chinesenewyear #parade
Today I had my first experience with random people REALLY wanting a picture with me. As we were walking through the central area of New Delhi, Indian school kids couldn't stop looking at us and saying hello. They were mesmerized (I am guessing by our height/size?). Finally one got the courage to ask for a photo with me. The next five minutes turned into a frenzied photo session. I am not sure who was more amused, us or them.
The best thing on TV in #Prague right now. Time to find a brewery.
Liz Scott-- there it is, one of your favorite childhood memories from Berlin, the Europa Center water clock. Coolest water clock I've ever seen!
Post game celebration for the Dublin vs. Meath gaelic football match yesterday. #gaa
Attacked by sheep! Cycled 40km today on the "Greenway" in western Ireland. Great views and cute sheep! #ttot
