a year ago we spent spring break on Oahu - exploring the north shore at + then the bay of 🌴

it was the best time + the perfect island escape! it’s also such a great family destination and an amazing way to test out a long flight with kids - especially from the east coast.
true story : after I landed in Hawaii with the kids (traveled by myself with them - 12 hrs travel duration!), I told Ryan we could go anywhere and we booked our flights to Thailand!

(And what seems like at least a million photos of me staring off into the distance…)
I started capturing travel experiences from all over the world! I can’t believe it’s been a decade!
What started as a way to share my move abroad with family and friends, then quickly developed into a passion for highlighting some of the most unique and beautiful places in the world. New places, new people, and new cultures 🌎 I loved giving little glimpses of our world.
After taking a few years hiatus to grow our little family and understand the new realities of travel - post pandemic and with little ones - I reignited my passion for sharing and helping others to take journeys around the world.
Sharing and planning travel is truly my love language - if you know me, you know, all conversations lead to travel 😜

TIME to SAIL AWAY!

the next adventure of our trip was a week on a catamaran through the andaman sea!

we departed from Phuket and spent the first day swimming in a quiet cove and exploring a few incredible caves 😍

THINGS I LOVED ABOUT COMO Point Yamu, Phuket …
as a mom!

All of the space! The design of the property is very open air and I love this was the aesthetically BUT I also love feeling like my kids are killing the vibe…cause my kids know how to kill a vibe 😜 There are so many places outside of your room to enjoy… kids club (more on that in a min), the rec room with foosball and video games, a gorgeous lounge area with chess and other table top games, a pool table room, and of course, the space around the mile long pools. Not actually a mile long…

But the main pools were so fab for kids! These long pools are only a few feet deep making it perfect for young swimmers. It’s super spacious so you don’t feel like your splashy kids are disrupting the adults at the other end!

And we could always retreat back to our private pool villa! I love this option for parents wanting a little space during nap time or quiet time.

Now for the breakfast! A wide variety of continental options and a made to order menu - of which, there is a kids menu! WITH A WHOLE PURÉE MENU FOR BABIES 🥹 side note - I think traveling with your baby can be so magical but many people don’t know that there are special properties out there that make the experience so much easier and enjoyable for new parents! I can help!

Another space we really enjoyed was the beach walk by the resort! It’s not technically their property but a private beach along a road of villas. The hotel does complimentary beach walks in the mornings or you can explore on your own!

Now the kids club! My kids do love a kids club experience - play is such an important part of being a kid and sometimes while traveling, your kids are getting so many other unique experiences that they miss the “play” and mine especially miss the toys 😂 Also, what kid doesn’t love just a whole room of new toys?! The crew at the kids club were amazing!

Lastly, I’m a sucker for a cute kids welcome amenity! These water bottles were useful and you could take to kids club to decorate 👏

as the name suggests, it is located on a point giving views from every corner! our sunset pool villa was stunning but I was in love with the view from the main pool seeing all the islands in the distance! truly photos can’t capture it 🤩
