Durdle Door is one of the Jurassic Coast’s most iconic landscapes located near Lulworth in Dorset, UK. It is a natural arch, formed from a layer of hard limestone standing almost vertically out of the sea.
An interesting fact about this iconic place is: How it was formed?

Around 25 million years ago the African tectonic plate collided with the European plate. The huge pressures generated heaved and folded rocks to create the mountain chain we know as the Alps. Ripples from that collision spread north through the Earth’s crust and gently folded the rocks here, in what would become south Dorset and Purbeck.
Durdle Door and Lulworth Cove are popular destinations for fossil hunters, photographers and hikers alike. There’s many ways to discover the area including walking, cycling and coasteering; So whether you want to see them from land or sea, be sure to plan a whole day – you’re going to need it. 🙂 @ Durdle Door

About 40 miles from Cape Town, Cape Point lies within the southernmost tip of Table Mountains National Park and is part of the Cape Floral Region, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the richest areas of flora in the world.

The scenic drive from Cape Town along the Cape Peninsula takes travelers past the surf breaks of Muizenberg, and the pretty seaside town of Kalk Bay, as well as the prime-penguin-viewing beaches at Simon's Town. Wildlife is also diverse on this soaring seacliff with about 250 species of birds.

It is a birder’s rich escape and a botanist’s holy grail. It can seem absolutely fascinating to those with a keen eye. Ultimately, though, it is one of nature’s great places. 🙂

There's nowhere on the planet quite like Macau. One of China's two so called Special Administrative Regions, the little autonomous territory has evolved into a neon clad jungle of five star casinos and gargantuan resorts. The "Vegas of the East" tag, however, tells only half the story. This is also somewhere that bears the marks of centuries of Sino Portuguese heritage, showcasing age old temples and colonial-era architecture alongside its modern pleasure palaces.

The same mix of global influences informs everything from its culture to its cuisine.

As the South American capital with the most cosmopolitan credentials, Buenos Aires - also known as Capital Federal - is a city gifted in the art of seduction.

Suffused with European flavour, but with a strong Latino spirit, it's both refined yet chaotic, self-confident but unpredictable, where evocative tango rhythms fill crumbling colonial plazas and cutting-edge cultural centres integrate with an increasingly diverse food scene and a legendary nightlife that keeps bouncing until dawn.

Vatican City 🇻🇦

The Vatican City, one of the most sacred places in Christendom, attests to a great history and a formidable spiritual venture. A unique collection of artistic and architectural masterpieces lie within the boundaries of this small state. At its centre is St Peter's Basilica, with its double colonnade and a circular piazza in front and bordered by palaces and gardens. The basilica, erected over the tomb of St Peter the Apostle, is the largest religious building in the world, the fruit of the combined genius of Bramante, Raphael, Michelangelo, Bernini and Maderno.

There's nowhere quite like Berlin. Sensual, gritty, hip and debauched, it's a colossal city with a tumultuous back-story. It also has a myriad of different faces: the staunch solidity of the Reichstag, the rainbow melee of its multicultural population, the insistent bass-thump of its numberless nightclubs.

The city is a cosmopolitan, creative hub with a thriving underground pulse. This is not somewhere to cover in one visit. Its history is labyrinthine, its design and food scenes are worlds unto themselves and its hedonistic nightlife is among the best this side of the Atlantic. It's also one of the most liberal destinations in Europe - there are few taboos left here.

Norway is mostly known for its natural beauty, fjords and mountains, the amazing Northern Lights and the Midnight Sun. During the Viking Age (800-1050 AD) the Norwegian Vikings explored Europe through trade and warfare. With their Viking ships they traveled to the Mediterranean countries, to England, Scotland & Ireland, and as far as to America. The modern-day Irish cities of Limerick, Dublin, and Waterford were founded by Norwegian settlers. Oslo is often called the Scandinavian Viking capital.

Folrence, Italy 🇮🇹

Though Rome is Italy’s much beloved capital and Milan has serious cosmopolitan clout, Florence remains unrivaled in history, art, and architecture (its beauty and cuisine don’t hurt, either). In addition to being the birthplace of the Renaissance, the Firenze of recent years has had a modern makeover: Study Tuscan classics with celebrity chef Arturo Dori at Desinare, one of the city’s hottest cooking school/design store hybrids, or take in modern art at La Strozzina, Florence’s center for contemporary culture. Wherever the day takes you, save room for a panino al lampredotto—this stewed tripe sandwich is a Florence must.
