A Very Quarantine Birthday. I’m 35 today. A strange age in a strange time. I’m planting and growing things, newly exploring old interests. Pushing my own perceived limits, practicing being present and tackling projects galore, but also...watching lots of movies, only changing clothes from sweats to yoga pants and back again and growing my eyebrows out with wild abandon. Above all else I am super lucky, incredibly grateful and a real happy (inside) camper. Thanks babe for making this a sweet day at home, and thanks to all my family and friends for the thoughtful messages, calls and posts. Love you, mean it. Turn up a little bit in my honor if you’re feeling up to it. 💚💚💚

The Quitter Quest: CDMX took to the canals of Xochimilco and the weather cooperated perfectly. Music, drinks, guacamole, good company and a colorful trajinera. What more do you need on a sunny afternoon?

Check the website (link in bio) for upcoming group trips and retreats so you can get in on the fun too!

She’s called Gertrude and I love her. Traveling The Great Ocean Road with was SO much fun, despite straining my hip flexor doing cartwheels in the sand without warming up. 😭

I am really so sorry that it’s taken me so long to post pictures from Australia. It was super beautiful and I had an amazing time and got to see some incredible friends that I rarely get to see because they live all the way down under and I’ll start sharing the pics now ok please forgive me. This first one was in Sydney on the Bondi to Bronte walk, which is really stunning.

Viewpoint on Koh Phi Phi at sunset. I think we accidentally took the long way up and we were running late so it was quite the push. The sun was not interested in waiting for us to get there, surprisingly. Are you willing to hike for a nice sweaty sunset? 🌅

Marigolds on Doi Inthanon, the highest mountain in Thailand. Floral offerings are significant in Thailand, and marigolds in particular are used to worship Buddha and decorate temples.

The White Temple in Chiang rai (Wat Rong Khun) was totally worth the trip. I’ve been to my fair share of temples and this one is definitely near the top of the list of most stunning.

At the top of Tiger Cave Temple. Me and Big Buddha wave hello. We climbed 1237 steps to get to the top, most of them pretty steep. The view from the top was totally worth it.

I had been in the daytime, but Wat Pho at night was a new experience for me. We were practically the only ones there, in a temple that is bustling with tons of people during the day. It was really peaceful and very beautiful all lit up. Really worthwhile despite the fact that the big reclining Buddha is closed at night. Definitely recommend!

Knowing when to walk away, from anything, has been a key lesson for me in this particular lifetime. We are wrapping up a calendar year, a decade. But as the end nears, I keep thinking about how every day, every minute, every second even, is technically the end of a year, the end of a decade. Maybe not with nice, round numbers, but an end and a beginning, all the same. So whatever you wanna do and be, start now. This second.

Everything is either everything or everything is nothing. Langkawi is...something.

I was supposed to be heading to Myanmar last week when a visa disaster en route landed me in Langkawi, a place I didn’t plan to visit on this trip, but booked on a whim. Where there were a hundred lessons in the visa catastrophe, there have been a thousand more in my short stay on the island. I’m grateful for them all. And for the sand in my toes between work sessions.

From the Bamboo Train, to the sculptures outside the Killing Cave, to the incredible bat cave, which at dusk like 10 gazillion bats flew out of in a stream for more than half an hour, Battambang was TOTALLY worth the stop in Cambodia.
