I was trying to think of any positive aspects in this sh*tty situation that we’re in and the discovery of 2001 came to my mind. On this year there were many terrorist attacks against jews and tourists didn’t want to come here. There was a young guy who owned a beach on the Sea of Galilee and he went bankrupt. He sold his place to a Mexican priest named Father Solana. This priest had a dream to build a hostel for pilgrims in the Holy Land. The Israeli authorities told him that he can’t build anything before they dig in his land to make sure his hostel doesn’t block any antiquities.
The most amazing thing happened: The diggers found pieces of the ancient town Magdala, including a magnificent ancient synagogue from the 1st century.

תלמידה בכתה יא (!): "רמי, איפה זה?"
אני: "הספר החמישי בספר שאת מחזיקה"
תלמידה: "רמי נראה לי שיש כאן טעות, יש אצלי רק 3 ספרים, תורה נביאים וכתובים"

אחרי שבכיתי, הסתבר שהתלמידה הזאת למדה כל חייה בבית ספר של קיבוצי השומר הצעיר שהתעקשו להיות בהגדרה 'מוכר שאינו רשמי' כדי להצליח ולקצץ את שורשי העם הזה ולהתעלם מהתנ"ך

ואני שואל... לפני שצועקים על לימודי ליבה לחרדים, לא צריך לצרוח על ליבה לחילונים?
