Only 13 weeks old and this little Pangolin will need all the protection available to secure its future. Tracking, health checks, statistics and research about the species and its behaviour all form a huge part of the conservation process and at Namibia Vet Safaris we offer the chance to learn more about all these aspects with hands-on veterinary experiences in the field.

When you join our Vets for Wildlife program you will get the chance to be part of Wildlife Veterinary case studies.
Our last group had an interesting study during their visit to Okonjima and AfriCat of a Sable cow that looked very thin, but with a severely bloated abdomen. Students learnt how to handle, transport and maintain an immobilized antelope and to support it during the reversal process. After her health check, sample collection and treatments the Sable made a smooth recovery and were able to rejoin her herd.
