“When I brought my grandmom to date night on her birthday. We had a whole party for her before, and all my friends were there to celebrate.”

What is your favorite part about being in Kite and Key?

“I love meeting people from all across campus, especially in different schools. It's so fun to get to know so many random people that I probably never would have met otherwise”

If you could take a prospective student to one place on campus, where would it be?

“Locust during the class change- there is nothing I love more”

“"Can I have this Dance’ from High School Musical (I let fellow tour guide Bridgett be Gabriella and I'm Troy)”

“Flip flops are acceptable streetwear”

What’s your favorite Penn Memory?!

“My favorite Penn memory was probably NSO following Covid because it was the first time in around 18 months that most of Penn was in one place again. Definitely great to see everyone again and be mostly back to normal.”

Why did you join Kite & Key?

“I joined K&K when it was all volunteer, so I viewed it as a good way to give back to the school and also practice my public speaking skills.”

If you could be a contestant on any reality TV show, which one would you be on?

“Love island because everyone takes themselves too seriously. I think it would be fun to go on and focus on creating as much conflict as possible between the other contestants. Then, I would try to convince everyone to rig the pairing so that at least one couple was formed who couldn't stand each other.”

What's your best ~hot take~?

“Ice hockey is a water sport.”

“My tour guide was a big part of why I decided to come to Penn, so I thought it would be cool to share my experiences with prospective students and be that person for them, too”

“Biopond! Beautiful spot in the springtime”

Our TGOTW is Adam Honig-Frand!! Thank you for all your hard work and for always going above and beyond!

A little bit about our TGOTW…

Adam is a Senior studying Cognitive Science (Cognitive Neuroscience Concentration), with a minor in Chemistry. He is from Denver, CO.

Involvement on campus:

Most of my time is spent in a lab at Penn Medicine, studying the neural circuits of sleep and stress and how the two are connected. If I'm not in lab or in class, I am likely at Pottruck getting a good lift in. I am also a member of the Penn Benjamin Peer Counseling group and Penn Ski and Snowboard Team.

What’s your favorite Penn Memory?!

“My favorite Penn memory was Hey Day at the end of my junior year! It was so fun seeing friends and classmates that I hadn't seen since my first year. It was also a time to enjoy all the hard work I've done to make it this far.”

If you could be a contestant on any reality TV show, which would you be on?

“I would love to be on the Amazing Race. I used to watch it religiously with my family, and I think it would be so cool to travel the world.”

“Mustard is the best condiment”

“I still remember my most impactful college tour guides, and they really made all the difference when it came down to choosing a school. Kite and Key allows me to return that favor while showing my love for Penn (and my love for talking and attention...)”

What is the most ~interesting~ thing that has happened to you on a tour?

“Had a dad literally SPRINT down locust chasing after a random girl who dropped her PennCard lol”

“Agree with Carson, 8:30 >>> 3:30 classes”

“Our Song by Taylor Swift! Literally spent like 2 weeks memorizing the lyrics when I was 6”

"The first time it snowed my freshman year -- everyone was outside in the Quad courtyard super late at night and it was so much fun”

What is your favorite part about being in Kite and Key?
“Being part of our intramural dodgeball team... duh”

What is the most ~interesting~ thing that has happened to you on a tour?
“On my co-tour during training, a mom asked me why there weren't kegs outside of frat houses. Not the craziest question from a tour but definitely threw me off because I had never given a tour before”

“I have too many to count! Date nights, formals, center city walks with my roommate and best friend, SNAP Convention trip to Utah, darties, NSO, meeting Keke Palmer, Joe Biden waving to me, countless nights at Smokes… I’ve seriously had the best 3 years of my life here :)”

“PENNacle! Doing a pre-orientation program where you essentially get to go to camp with 60 strangers and 15 upper-level students is so fun! Getting to know everyone was a whirlwind, but I made some of my best memories with the people I met even before NSO.”

If you could take a prospective student to one place on campus, where would it be?

“The Quad!!! There's no place as magical as the green in front of McClelland.”

If you could be a contestant on any reality TV show, which one would you be on?

“Big Brother because I'm too lazy for survivor but I still want to play competitions! (I would be so good at the social game but then probably get backdoor'd during the Jury phase)”
