A page dedicated to the research, design and creation of shields primarily from the middle ages for use in Re-enactments, HEMA, WMA, films/documentaries and collections. I specialise in Viking age round shields and 13-14th century bucklers, but am willing to produce any shield from any period. I have been working for 2 years making shields from the middle ages as a hobby. This experience has included the research, design and manufacture of bespoke wooden shields.
