La Basilica di Superga was built in the 18th century by Victor Amadeus II of Savoy on top of the Superga hill. The architect was Filippo Juvarra, who used classicist architecture with a baroque touch typical of the time. The church houses the tombs of many of the princes and kings of the House of Savoy, including the Monument to Charles Emmanuel III (1733) by Ignazio and that of his brother Fillipo Collino.
