🌟Join us for our Invisible Cities Networking Event!

🗓️ Date: February 23rd
🕚 Time: 11:00 am - 12:30 pm
📍 Venue: The Wise Group, Templeton Building, Glasgow

✨ New year, new opportunities! ✨ Invisible Cities (Glasgow) is thrilled to announce our upcoming Networking Event for the third sector of the greater Glasgow area.

❤️ As a social enterprise dedicated to supporting and training individuals who have experienced homelessness and social hardship, we understand the importance of fostering strong connections within the community. That’s why we’re excited to create a platform where organizations can come together to meet, connect, share their work, and offer support.

🤝 Whether you’re a non-profit, charity, or community group, our networking sessions provide a valuable opportunity to collaborate, exchange ideas, and explore potential partnerships that can make a lasting impact in our community.

🤗 We encourage attendees to bring along their colleagues or associates who would benefit from this event. Together, we can build a stronger, more connected third sector network in Glasgow.

☕️ And of course, refreshments will be provided to keep the conversations flowing!

😉 Don’t miss out on this valuable opportunity! Save the date and join us on February 23rd at The Wise Group.

For more information please contact us at [email protected].

See you there! 🫶🏻

Thank you The Wise Group for your support to organise this event! 🙌🏻

💡Did you know that Christmas was banned in Scotland for almost 400 years?

🏛Following the Reformation there was a huge backlash against traditions deemed Catholic. Even though many of the traditions and even the date of Christmas draw from paganism, the powerful Protestant Church used its influence to ban it from 1690 - it was even illegal to make Yule Bread.

📜 It wasn’t until 1958 that Christmas became a public holiday. It is for this reason that Hogmanay has such a unique importance in Scotland to this day with Scots getting an extra day to celebrate the new year.

🎄If you’re stuck for a gift or want to learn some more about Edinburgh yourself why not check out our tours in our BIO? They make a unique gift at an affordable price - perfect to show that! ❤️

Invisible Cities Comes to Glasgow!

Invisible Cities is a social enterprise that trains people who have been affected by homelessness to become walking tour guides of their own city. We started in Edinburgh in 2016 and are coming to Glasgow in 2018. Our alternative walking tours will show you a side of Glasgow you didnt know, mixing history, social enterprises and personal stories.
