A couple of years ago I took my family to Universal Studios in Orlando for some fun after COVID. I was hesitant what that would look like since our youngest was still too short for many of the rides. To my surprise we still had such a blast. Truth be told, I'm not a huge thrill seeker myself so I was content walking the park and taking in all the amazing decor. I was never a huge Harry Potter fan but Diagon Alley and Hogsmeade are just UNREAL! It was that trip that actually turned our oldest daughter into a fan herself & now I look forward to taking her back in the near future.

The past 5+ weeks I have been limiting my time on social media to focus on my husband (who recently had surgery on his foot), as well as making sure I was available to provide exceptional service to my current clients. During this time I had some time to reflect on how I wanted my social media accounts to look. Previously, I would post photos that involved my children from our trips as a way for others to relate to our adventures. However, after learning that a photo involving my kids was used without permission, and then reading that the baker I use for Disney client gifts had "followers" simply there to follow her children, I have opted to redesign how I wanted my social media accounts to look.

I have taken the time to scrub past photos of my children from my public accounts and going forward will only show photos without their faces. I am always happy to discuss how our children felt about, or handled trips, experiences, etc, but for their privacy and safety it feels best to keep their faces off of public spaces.

I appreciate the fact that I have always been blessed with the best clients, and I look forward to continuing to serve all your vacation planning needs in the future.

When our oldest two were younger we had the most incredible babysitter come with us on our Disney trips. Since my husband was injured overseas she was there with the purpose of making sure the kids were loved on and safe in the event I needed to shift some of my focus to helping my husband (like the days he ended up in a wheelchair).

She ended up being there in so many more ways than we could have imagined. She was one of the only ones my, at the time, very attached to me son would go to other than me. She helped with children while I grabbed food (because mobile ordering wasn't a thing yet). She also took pictures of our little family that we wouldn't otherwise have. She always knew how to step in without having to be asked. It was such a GIFT at the time to myself to have her with us.

Yesterday she went and got married & started a family of her own and while I'm thrilled for her because she deserves all the happiness in the world, I'm sad that her days at Disney are in the past. She was such a treasure to have along with us. Congratulations to Miss. Katie and we wish you a lifetime of happiness and Disney trips with your little family.

Today I'm throwing it back to my Disney College Program days. The days when I had unlimited access to the parks. Someday's my friends and I would walk into the parks just to ride A ride or grab a bite to eat.

My first time ever riding Rockin' Rollercoaster involved a bribery from my best friend. I was scared as heck about getting on but after about 5 times of stepping out of line + the promise of dinner at any restaurant I wanted if I just got on, I finally mustered up the courage to ride. And I LOVED it. I lost count as to how many times I got on the ride by the time I left the program, but it was significant. And yes, my best friend kept her promise and dinner at Chef's de France at the EPCOT Pavillion was amazing. I still appreciate Mimi for always pushing me to be my best self and bribing me with food 🤣.

As a follow up: three kids later and my stomach is wrecked and no amount of food could bribe me back on this ride 🤷‍♀️

Currently planning our next adventure (not to Disney 😳🤣) . We are traveling from northern, Ohio to Custer, SD and are road-trippers, any must stops you would suggest? We love outdoor places or indoor spaces that allow the kids to run off some energy.

Everyone always asks me when my favorite time to visit Disney World is. Of all the trips we've been on; which are: the first week of May, mid-end of September, early-mid December and end of April & first week of May, the first week of May is hands down my favorite time to travel to Disney World.

I consider it a sweet spot between when the schools just finished up Spring Breaks but aren't out for summer break yet. Additionally I enjoy the weather; it can be hot but not as humid just yet. The longer days make it seem like you can optimize your Disney time as well. Finally, the Flower & Garden Festival is in full swing and is always such a delight to experience.

This sweet mama, Danielle, and I go way back to our 2007 Disney College Program days when we both worked at the front desk at Coronado Springs Resort. Back in those days we had to physically check guests in (on an old system that utilized a keyboard only), hand them their Key to the World card (which held their entitlements) and send them on their way with a physical resort map. She brought so much joy to the workspace with her pleasant and bubbly personality; constantly wearing a smile on her face and bringing the fun! Working with her was truly a gift, but being able to hang out with her outside of work was always an adventure.

When she came to me to help plan her family's first visit to Disney World I was honored. I knew I wanted to make sure her quick trip was just as much fun as she was. Since we knew it would be a fast trip, we knew each second had to count; especially when it came to her dining reservations. Since her initial plans pivoted along the way, we were on the chase to secure new dining reservations. The week of her trip we had success! We were able to secure both Chef Mickey’s and Roundup Rodeo BBQ for her ideal times & I’m so glad because they had THE BEST time at both (well most of them did at least).

When I connected with Danielle after the trip about her experience and what surprised her the most, this is what she had to say,
“I think the resort is what surprised me the most, staying on property was the way to go, I don’t know that I would do Disney any other way now. I was a skeptic before that. Also, I loved the dining plan and magic bands, just the ease of everything made it one less thing to worry about.Art of Animation was AMAZING. I wish we actually spent a day there. I have no other experiences to compare it to but the room was great for our family of 5, 2 bathrooms was amazing. The pools were awesome and we LOVED that we had a couple of transportation options. The kids really loved the skyliner, it was like the cherry on top.”

While she also learned that she would add a rest day next time and that snacks were the key to success in the parks she came back refreshed and smiling from the memories made and photos taken on the trip.

Thank you once again, Danielle for allowing me to be a part of your family’s first Disney vacation planning experience. Working to plan this trip with you was just as much fun as our days working at Coronado together.
