Always walk the new cities you explore. Yes, you can do hop-on-hop-off; yes, you can take UBER, but you will MISS SO MUCH! Bike instead, or Segway, but better just walk.
Here are some PROS of that:
👉 You are at your own pace -> Stop when you want to take a picture, eat when hungry, and move when everyone is stuck in traffic
👉 You are your own guide -> Detour when not sure; cut through the park to enjoy nature; dive into a small, cute alley that caughts your eye and explore
👉 You stay healthy and in shape by burning in advance all those calories you will be consuming later at a big dinner while trying to degustate the entire local cuisine. Not to mention that you increase cardiovascular fitness, strengthen bones, burn body fat, and boost muscle power and endurance
👉 You boost your mood and lower stress
👉 You do nature and popular destinations a big favor by keeping it environmentally friendly and less clogged with vehicles.
BUT, before embarking on a such kwest:
☝️ Put together or get a map of your walk (try tourgeek! We check our routes on foot!)
☝️ Get your most comfortable pair of shoes, hat, sunglasses, and sunblock
☝️ Get a goodnight sleep prior
☝️ Have a large, non greasy breakfast with good fats
