Sicily, the largest island in the Mediterranean Sea, is a treasure trove of history, culture, and natural beauty.
We recently had the opportunity to visit Noto, Agrigento, Palermo, Syracuse, and Taormina.
We absolutely fell in love with Noto. This architectural supermodel, a baroque belle, so gorgeous you might mistake it for a film set is located less than 40km southwest of Syracuse. The town is home to one of Sicily's most beautiful historic centres.
We explored one of Sicily's most iconic archaeological sites and a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Valley of the Temples in Agrigento. This is one of the most outstanding examples of ancient Greek art and architecture of Magna Graecia and is one of the main attractions of Sicily.
Palermo, the vibrant capital of Sicily, offered rich heritage, architectural wonders, and historic landmarks such as the Norman Palace, the Palatine Chapel, and the Cathedral of Palermo.
Known for its ancient ruins and authentic charm, Syracuse offered history, culture, and stunning landscapes! In just a day in Syracuse you could visit beaches, see ancient Greek temples, eat unforgettable food and stroll around a Roman amphitheatre. Syracuse truly encapsulated Sicily’s timeless beauty.
Perched on the cliffs overlooking the Ionian Sea, Taormina, renowned for its stunning vistas, ancient ruins, and upscale ambiance is must-see. Taormina’s dramatic setting creates a breathtaking backdrop for one of Italy's most enchanting destinations. The town's panoramic terraces, gardens, and viewpoints provided perfect spots for us to admire the azure waters below.
