In 2012 John Blackburn conducted “The Anguished Man Live Experiment.” The aim of the experiment is to find out more about the painting’s history and the entity that haunts the painting. When he started he was informed that the artist painted the self-portrait using paints that were mixed in with his own blood and sadly on completion he took his own life. he reputation of being probably the most haunted in the world, closely watched by the media and has appeared on various TV programmes, NTV Japan and William Shatner’s Weird or What. This journey now takes me in a new direction. "Lifting the Veil" is my book I am working on which is about the "Anguished Man Live Experiment." Sharing with the reader my amazing adventures in some of the most haunted locations in the UK. You will read about the amazing eye witness accounts from people who have attended the experiments, the history of the locations we visit, my ongoing journey with the painting and the new information that is leading me to the sadness and horror of World War II.
