Potter’s field is an area that can be found toward the middle of the Lake Forest Cemetery. It is an open area with only a few grave markers scattered around and a memorial plaque engraved with the words “A memorial to all who rest here A day of duty done a night of rest begun.” This area is essentially a mass grave where all the poor and unidentified bodies were buried. They were often buried atop each other and there are an estimated 1500 bodies buried here. Unfortunately Potter’s Fields, sometimes also known as paupers’ graves or common graves, were not uncommon during those times. Unsurprisingly there are often people who pass this area and get sad feelings, see apparitions, or dark mists. It is unfortunate that these individuals were treated this way so make sure to show the most kindness and respect if you stop by. #historybuff #cemetery #cemeteryphotography #cemeteries #cemeterylovers #cemeterywandering #grave #graveyard #reelitfeelit #reelschallenge #exploremore #explore #viralposts #haunted #paranormal #ghost #explorereels #storytelling #paranormalinvestigation #Michigan #FacebookPage #facebookpost

Lake Forest Cemetery is the oldest cemetery inside Grand Haven city limits and was established in 1873. Due to the cemetery’s age it holds the remains of many of the founding members of Grand Haven including the Ferry family. There are a few different places in the cemetery that are considered haunted including Ferry Hill, the stairway to hell, Potter’s Field, and the ghost of Kate Koopman along with other apparitions are known to wander the grounds on occasion. The cemetery is a large picturesque cemetery with some very elaborate gravestones so even if you aren’t into the paranormal its still a nice place to stop and spend a little time. You may even see others who have also stopped by for a run or a nice bike ride, just make sure to watch out for ghosts! #cemeteries #cemetery #cemeteryphotography #cemeterywandering #cemeterylife #cemeterylovers #hauntedcemetery #haunted #haunting #hauntedplaces #hauntedhistory #graveyard #paranormal #paranormalinvestigation #paranormalactivity #paranormalinvestigator #reelsviralシ #reelsfbシ #reelitfeelit #reelsvideo #reelsfypシ #ghost #ghosthunter #ghoststories #ghosthunting #GhostAdventures #Michigan

Joel A. Bond from Nunica, MI. was part of Michigan’s 21st infantry during the civil war and enlisted in August of 1862 at the age of 18. At some point after the war Joel moved to Coopersville, MI where he married and worked on his 40 acre farm. In the year 1913 at the age of 67 he died in his field from heart problems. While he is not the only, nor the most famous, civil war veteran buried in Nunica cemetery he has become famous in the afterlife. According to accounts of other paranormal investigators, Joel’s spirit likes to flirt with women who stop by his grave. Others say he simply just shows up from time to time to keep watch over the cemetery. While we weren’t personally able to contact him we still stopped by to say Hi! #cemeteries #cemetery #cemeteryphotography #cemeterywandering #graveyard #GraveStone #paranormalactivity #paranormal #paranormalinvestigation #Michigan #ghoststories #ghosthunter #ghost #scary #scarystories #spiritual
Emily has one of the most unique gravemarkers in Nunica Cemetery because hers is made of wood. During the early years of the cemetery there weren’t very many rules or regulations regarding the grave markers so it wasn’t uncommon for loved ones to make the grave markers themselves, which is why Emily’s is made of wood. Emily, believed to be Emily Northrop Ramsdell was born March 11, 1817 in Indiana. At some point she moved to Michigan where she married her husband in Canton. She lived in Wayne county for a while and had an estimated eight children. She eventually moved to Nunica where she died in the year 1896 at the age of 78. #cemetery #cemeteryphotography #cemeteries #cemeterywandering #cemeterylovers #gravestone #graveyard #haunted #hauntedhistory #hauntedplaces #Michigan #reelsfbシ #reelsviralシ #reelsfypシ #spooky #paranormalactivity #paranormalinvestigator #ghost
Nunica Cemetery was established in 1883 and resides in the township of Crockery. Nunica Cemetery is considered to be one of the most haunted cemeteries is Michigan and has had many stories of paranormal experiences. There have been stories of an apparition of a women in white as well as spirits of children trying to hold visitors hands. There are also stories of unexplained cold spots during summer months, lights with seemingly no source, and voices heard when no one is around. While there are paranormal stories there are also non-paranormal things that are a little quirky about this cemetery too. For example when you wonder around the cemetery you will happen upon some strange grave markers such as a wooden grave marker simply marked “Emily.” These types of markers were from the early days of the cemetery when the township allowed for people to hand make grave markers. While we aren’t sure whether the cemetery is haunted or not it is still an interesting place to visit with a lot of history, interesting stories, and some really cool gravestones. Remember if you visit to be respectful and always visit when the gates are open. #cemetery #cemeteries #grave #graveyard #gravestone #cemeterywandering #cemeteryphotography #cemeterylovers #paranormal #paranormalactivity #paranormalinvestigation
