It’s been a minute since I said hello!👋🏻Welcome to my page if you’re new here!
I love sharing our projects and hope they’re a source of inspiration for all my fellow design lovers.
Although you might also want to know a little bit about the person behind the designs, truth be told, I’m a total introvert and these kinds of posts make me wildly uncomfortable 😂 Hence, why I don’t do them often.
So this is me:

Favorite room to design and why: Powder Room bc clients are open to letting me use dramatic & fun elements that they might be afraid to use elsewhere

My biggest design inspiration: TRAVEL
Dream project I’d love to work on: A boutique hotel.
One misconception people often have about interior designers: That we play with fabrics and paint all day. Truthfully, 80% of my week is working on budgets and back office work. Only 20% is spent on the design.
Favorite part of the design process: Furniture selection and putting together fabric schemes.
A signature element that I like to incorporate into my designs: I try to incorporate Buddhas whenever I can. I find them peaceful and feel it brings good energy to a space.
A culture that influences my design aesthetic: French culture. The French are obsessed with beauty and living the good life.
A fun fact is that I designed a teenage boy’s room around the Metallica album cover, Ride the Lightning. It turned out awesome and was so much fun to work on! Sadly, I don’t have any professional photographs of it.
If you stayed with me throughout this whole post, I am grateful! I hope you always find inspiration, beauty and a little silly humor on my page.

Happy Earth Day! Even though it’s Earth Day, we should be talking more about sustainable travel every day! 🌎
But what exactly does that mean? Sustainable travel is more than staying at a hotel that doesn’t offer single-use plastic bottles—it is important to adopt a holistic approach to mindful travel.
When thinking about sustainability: it’s crucial to prioritize hotels and tour operators that actively engage with and contribute to local communities. This involvement can take various forms, such as:
🌎 sourcing food locally
🌎 collaborating with community leaders & artisans
🌎 providing employment opportunities and workplace training
🌎 supporting continuing education initiatives
🌎 considering the economic impact on the community
These elements collectively form the foundation of sustainable travel practices.

YOUR GARAGE SALE PROFITS ARE YOURS! 💸💸
The Contemporary Club of HHK will advertise the town-wide garage sale on several garage sale sites and on social media to promote to shoppers outside HHK. Announcements will go out via town-wide and school messaging platforms to attract shoppers in HHK. Electronic map link & QR Code will be posted for shoppers.
The will also be teaming up with clothing donation services to collect donations during the week leading up to the garage sale! They will be accepting all of the following: adult and children’s clothing (of any fabric), towels, blankets, ALL bedding, tablecloths, backpacks, handbags and shoes! The more the collection weighs, the more funds they raise for local beneficiaries!
**Donation proceeds to benefit our local HHK beneficiaries, including YAC, Angel Fund, Ho-Ho-Kus Waldwick Co-op Nursery, Seniors, and Community Emergency Relief Fund (CERF)

Just had our impactful morning general meeting with 18+ members whose enthusiasm makes it all worth while! Borrero administrator, Bill Jones, spoke about HoHoKus day and how to get more involved in the visibility benefits for our business! Chamber member, Sheldon Wright, of @just33marketing did an overview of our new website launch, and we shared knowledge at the end to help businesses with all things social media and website. And Jules Hughes of @globalbeautybox.club provided our morning coffee “with benefits” from her business brand. We will continue to work towards benefitting our members throughout the year!
