Matheson Lake Regional Park, situated between Metchosin and East Sooke on south Vancouver Island, offers a moderate four-kilometer hike, a small sand beach, and public access amenities including toilets, bike racks, and an emergency phone.

Visitors can swim in the freshwater lake, hike along picturesque trails, explore the scenic surroundings, and even try their hand at fishing for Rainbow trout! keep in mind there is no boat launch, so any boats or kayaks must be carried down the trail.
