Located at an elevation of 450 metres with running streams amongst oak wood and olive trees, the village Kuljače is surrounded by mountains overlooking the Adriatic sea. Our House is two hundred years old and made of stone, carefully preserved and freshly renovated with all modern facilities in 2013. During the renovations, we kept the original form and size of the house, which represent the authentic architecture of local villages in the region of Paštrovići. It is located on the round spacious village “square”, which has a fountain with fresh spring water under the old mulberry tree. Our House is on three levels and can accommodate up to five people, with its two bedrooms, two bathrooms with toilets, a kitchen, two terraces and a utility room. The large kitchen is on the ground floor with a dining table for eight persons. It is equipped with a cooker, oven, freezer and other kitchen facilities. Its special touch is provided by decorative brass plates and other local artisan crafts on the walls. The kitchen door leads directly to the spacious terrace (around 40 square metres) covered with thick grapevines above it, overlooking the Adriatic Sea. The two hundred years old grapevine creates a cool deep shadow on the terrace all day long, beautiful for resting even on the hottest days. The table under the grapevines is a perfect place for dining while watching the sunset on the horizon. Around the house and within the terrace there are various Mediterranean plants and flowers, such as lemon, laurel, pomegranate, lavender, hydrangea and oleanders. A convenient utility room with a toilet is just beside the kitchen. On the first floor, there is a ten square metres terrace in front of the entrance door, which offers a magnificent view over the sea. Inside is a twenty square metres double bedroom with a small bathroom and toilet. While almost all furniture is handcrafted, a warm atmosphere is also created by the wooden ark with local ornaments as well as the stone jar for preserving olives, both originating from the village households from the 19th century. The original wooden steep stairs lead to the spacious bedroom on the second floor with one double and one single bed. All main windows are oriented to the South which brings plenty of sunlight all day long. Both rooms have views over the Adriatic Sea, Island of St. Nicolas and the town Budva. Our House is built to high ecological standards: the tap water comes directly from mountain springs from the nearby village, and the walls are freshly painted with whitewash. All floors are covered with ceramic tiles. Kuljače is located 3.5 km from the main road Budva-Sveti Stefan. By car it takes 10 minutes from the main road, 15 minutes from the popular resort of Sveti Stefan and 20 minutes from Old Town in Budva. Picturesque Pržno and sandy Kamenovo beaches are 15 minutes from Our House. Tivat International Airport is at a distance of 25 km from Kuljače. The entire area is covered with oak trees and rich with spring waters (especially in spring and autumn or after the rain) and offers many hiking and cycling trails. The immediate surroundings of Kuljače are filled with mediaeval monasteries: Vojnići, Praskvica, Reževići. It takes 10 minutes walk from Our House to the location of monastery Duljevo from 14th century. Note: Since Kuljače is 3.5 km away from the main road and public transportation, guests need a car or taxi - please be aware of this fact! Facilites:
