I'm always getting confused what time period comes first! This little poem comes in handy! 😃

"Triassic dawn, where life begins,
Jurassic giants, with mighty grins,
Cretaceous comes, with flowers in bloom,
Then dinosaurs meet their final doom." 🌸🌋

Let’s break it down:

🌟 Triassic:** 252 to 201 million years ago.
🦕 Jurassic:** 201 to 145 million years ago.
🌼 Cretaceous:** 145 to 66 million years ago.

Together, they form the Mesozoic Era, also known as the Age of Dinosaurs! 🦖🌍

Step back in time and explore the wonders of Earth’s ancient history! ⏳

In 2010, sick of having their sign stolen, the residents of Sh*tterton bought a 1.5 tonne block of stone and had the name Sh*tterton carved into it. 😁🫣

When visiting Stonehenge and Salisbury Cathedral, it's always nice to have a spot of lunch at the Haunch of Venison. This historic pub, first recorded in circa 1320, not only offers delightful meals but also houses a preserved mummified hand from the era when craftsmen were building the Cathedral's spire! 💀 👻

DorsetTours.com is located smack bang in the middle of the Jurassic Coast! Being situated on Portland gives us the perfect opportunity to show off this stunning 180 million year old Coastline! 96 miles of Jurassic Coast which spans the Triassic, Jurassic and Cretaceous periods.

We offer a range of high quality, small group guided and private sightseeing tours across Dorset, Hampshire and neighboring counties. Our guides are passionate about what they do and will go out of their way to show you the best of the area.

Our vehicles are comfortable, spacious, air-conditioned with room for small bags. We offer free on board refreshments, plenty of comfort breaks and knowledge from local guides. You have access to the more intimate, out of the way spots that could never been seen a big bus tour.
