Big changes coming to Southwest in 2025...

We’re continually evolving to meet the needs of our Customers. That’s why we’re excited to announce some big changes designed to enhance your Customer Experience—still delivered with our same Southwest Heart:

✅ Assigned seating (expected to become bookable in 2025)
✅ Premium seating options (expected to become bookable in 2025)
✅ Red-eye flights (now available for booking on https://swa.is/4c1dQdk!)

The research is clear and indicates that more than 80% of Southwest Customers prefer an assigned seat. These changes come as a part of our ongoing commitment to enhance the Customer experience, including faster WiFi, new in-seat power, larger overhead bins, and more comfortable seats.

For now, it's business as usual - we're working hard to meet Customer expectations and expect seating changes to become bookable in 2025.

Make sure you are REAL ID compliant by May 7, 2025 to prevent any disruptions in travel plans. Travelers who use a driver's license as identification at TSA checkpoints must present a REAL ID-compliant license to board domestic flights, which are generally identifiable by a gold star in the upper-right corner.

Passports and other forms of identification will also still be accepted by TSA. These alternatives can be found here, though please note this list may change and checking before travel is recommended: https://www.tsa.gov/travel/security-screening/identification

I was in Naples last summer and was lucky enough to get a taste of authentic Neapolitan pizza. It is fantastic! 🤌🍕🇮🇹🤤

One interesting fact about Neapolitan pizza is its certification by the Associazione Verace Pizza Napoletana (AVPN), which sets strict guidelines for making authentic Neapolitan pizza. These guidelines include using specific ingredients such as San Marzano tomatoes, mozzarella di bufala (buffalo mozzarella), and Tipo 00 flour for the dough. The pizza must also be baked in a wood-fired oven at a high temperature for a very short time to achieve the perfect texture and flavor. Who else wants to try a slice 🙋

This is potentially devastating for parts of the Caribbean. 😰

I was supposed to travel to Cancun/Isla Mujeres at the end of the week to swim with whale sharks. Today, I just hope and pray that those living in or visiting these destinations remain safe and that Beryl weakens soon.
