It is with sadness I write this post. My dad Eddie Brown, York’s coach hire and holiday legend, sadly passed away on Monday at 96 years young.
He had an amazing life transporting thousands of school children, holiday makers, clubs and societies around this country and Europe.
He will he greatly missed by many.
My sincere thanks to all who cared for him daily in these last few years.
Here are just a few pictures, and as it’s Christmas I hope you will smile.

The Government have released their Road Map for our way out of Lockdown and lifting of restrictions and with this comes the exciting news that we can start to plan the restarting of our holidays.

It’s very exciting and we’ve lot’s to do, but it’s wonderful to have ‘Something to look forward to’- if you too want ‘Something to look forward to’, we are taking bookings for holidays departing from May 17th – book early there’s huge demand!!

Our first departure will now be Isle of Wight 17 – 21 May and then the full programme of tours thereafter.

The great news is the vaccinations are getting quickly rolled out as promised. The over 70’s, I believe, have all had their first jabs and it looks like coach driver John and I will have ours by the end of April!

We are advised holidays will be at a premium this Summer, so use your lockdown time wisely - book now to avoid disappointment later this year.

Thank you to all of our valued customers for your support and loyalty over the past 12 months it is much appreciated and we can’t wait to see you on a holiday.

Our booking office is open. Limited days and hours. We are replying to all emails, Royal mail and voice messages on a daily basis and look forward to receiving your bookings.

Southern Ireland at its Best – Killarney, Ring of Kerry & Di**le Peninsula
21 – 26 September, please see page 43. Many of you booked holidays for John Sleightholme’s retirement year. Sadly Covid-19 stopped all these. Therefore, he has not retired…. He will be es**rting his favourite tour again in September to Ireland – Killarney. He might also join me or Sarah on a few other tours to assist, as we value his expertise.

Hebridean Odyssey 3 – 12 June 2022
A longer tour, so more unusual visits. Pre bookings now being taken.

Covid-19 Security with Deirdre Brown Travel From 17/05/21
Businesses (hotels & attractions) that are following COVID-19 secure guidelines can host groups. Premises or locations which are COVID-19 secure will be able to hold more than 30 people, subject to their own capacity limits. In other words, coach holidays will be permitted when professionally organised by businesses who have made risk assessments and put in place good practices for Covid-19 safety.
We have robust Covid secure policies in place, and the coach risk assessments are constantly monitored with any changes made with government guidance. Coach social distancing, sanitiser stations, masks etc
August – October 2020 we operated many tours, all with very positive feedback regarding our care and safety of passengers and staff, both on the coach and at hotels.

Our safe operating procedures gained us the Visit England ‘Good to Go’ certificate and we will continue to work to these standards and ensure that hotels and attractions that we visit have this or a similar alternative in place for your peace of mind.

‘We’re Good to Go’ accreditation, we have today been recognised for our role in supporting the recovery of the UK tourism sector and have been issued with the ‘Safe Travels’ stamp from the World Travel and Tourism Council.

Peace of mind - book your travel insurance with our preferred company and your policy will cover Covid-19*, therefore you can book holidays with confidence knowing if you cancel through Covid-19 'Track & Trace' or local lockdowns you will not lose any money – *subject to terms of policy.
