Did Disney finally hear our cries for the familiar Fastpass days gone by?? 😀 Well…sort of! We’ll have a lot to learn in the coming weeks at this unfolds, but goodbye Genie+ and hello to a new pre-book ride and attraction system! 🏰✨
Here are some of the nitty, gritty details pared down to a few notable highlights:
🔸Disney Genie+ will now be called Lightning Lane Multi Pass and Individual Lightning Lanes will now be called Lightning Lane Single Pass.
🔸Onsite guests (to include Shades of Green, Swan, and Dolphin resorts) can book up to 3 Lightning Lanes per day of their trip, 7 days in advance of their trip (max up to 14 days). This will also include the option to choose timing.
🔸Offsite guests can book 3 days before their arrival.
🔸Guests may purchase a Lightning Lane Multi Pass, a Lightning Lane Single Pass or both. The app will also be updated to make it quicker/easier to purchase and plan, with fewer steps and the opportunity to purchase both options in one transaction.
🔸No more waking up early to purchase Genie+ and panic choosing lightning lanes at 7am!!
🔸These changes go into effect beginning July 24, 2024.
Essentially Lightning Lane passes will blend features from Genie+ and the previously offered FastPass+ service, giving Disney guests the option to plan ahead and easing some of the stress of planning during their vacation.

Our Spring Break stay at Hyatt Ziva Cap Cana was nothing short of amazing! I’ve vacationed at many all-inclusive resorts over the years, but this was our first experience bringing our 7 year old along — needless to say we all came back feeling refreshed, relaxed, and totally SPOILED ROTTEN by the unmatched service shown by the Hyatt staff.
