Found out tonight/ today, what ever time it is now, that arrack can disappear pretty quickly, especially when karaoke is involved.

Three more weeks left of my trip to Sri Lanka. Wish really I could stay a couple more months but have to get back home to prepare for work on the school bus to start.

Overall it has been a very good trip, got to see some very good friends / "family". And travel to a few different places in Sri Lanka.

Wish I could have done some more but with the fuel situation it made it difficult to do all that i wanted to do.
Got to experience the struggle at Galle Face and see the many Sri Lankans fighting for change. Part of the battle was won the other day.
Got to experience the long fuel and gas queues.
Traveled to citys I didn't get to visit 16 years ago due to the war.

Going to miss sitting on front porch and watching the local wildlife, especially the monkeys jumping from tree to tree. Sadly no monkeys to watch back in Lawrence Kansas USA
Wouldn't trade anything for this experiences i have had on this trip, so many great memories.
Looking forward to these last few weeks.
Hope to be able to come back next summer for June and July again. Who knows maybe someday if I am lucky I can move to Sri Lanka

While in Sri Lanka the people have been amazing, always wanting to make sure I am happy with my visit.
It has always been my experience that most Sri Lankans would share their last meal with you, even in these difficult times the Sri Lankan hospitality remains.
