Nel Friuli di inizio Novecento, e più precisamente a Sacile, Giovanni Longo fonda un’azienda artigiana dedita alla lavorazione del legno ed alla produzione di mobili, azienda che si trasferisce poi a Bassano del Grappa negli anni ’30. ere antico. Sin da piccolo scopre e sviluppa una mente aperta e progettuale, il talento delle mani, l’attenzione per il dettaglio, il gusto del bello. Nei primi anni Cinquanta il giovanissimo Claudio viene iniziato ad apprendista falegname nella più prestigiosa bottega artigiana del bassanese e, dopo aver accumulato più di un decennio di esperienza, decide di raccogliere il testimone dal nonno materno. Nel 1966 Claudio inizia così un percorso di impegno e sfide imprenditoriali, mirate a rendere sempre più innovativi ed esclusivi i prodotti della propria azienda. A metà degli anni Settanta, viene allargata la compagine sociale e nasce Mobilificio ZO-PA, che Claudio dirige con scelte coraggiose, trasformando le idee in prodotti finiti, soddisfacendo desideri ed esigenze dei suoi clienti, tenendo il passo anche con tecnologie più efficienti. Ancora oggi dopo quarant’anni di successi, l’azienda continua ad essere a guida familiare e l’entrata delle figlie di Claudio ha aggiunto valore ed innovazione alla produzione, portando alla nascita di ZOPA Living. Un nuovo brand per presentare le linee prodotto che incarnano il miglior futuro dell’azienda. In Friuli in the early twentieth century, and more precisely in Sacile, Giovanni Longo founded a craft-based company dedicated to woodworking and furniture manufacture. The grandson Claudio Parolin, born in 1942, inherited from his grandfather the passion for wood and the love for an ancient craft. As a child he developed a mind that was open and project-oriented, a talent of hand crafting, an attention to detail, and an excellent taste for aesthetics. In the early fifties young Claudio started as an apprentice carpenter in the most prestigious craft workshop of Bassano, and after gaining over a decade of experience, he decided to take up the baton from his grandfather. In 1966 Claudio started a journey of entrepreneurial commitment and challenges, aiming to make the company’s products increasingly innovative and exclusive. In the mid-seventies the company developed, and a new company was established, Mobilificio ZO-PA, and managed by Claudio. By taking courageous choices, he turned his ideas into finished products, meeting the wishes and requirements of his customers, and keeping pace with more efficient technologies. After four successful decades, the company today continues as a family-run concern, with the entry of Claudio’s daughters adding value and innovation to production, and leading to the birth of Zopa Living, a new brand that presents those product lines which embody the best future for the company. Thanks to continuous studies into the best raw materials, natural finishes that exhalt the wood’s veins, and thanks to a contemporary style, which stems from collaborations with sector-specific designers, the company looks to the future with renewed energy and ambition, always counting on the careful supervision of “Maestro Caio”.
