Background
Dreamed first & then tried my heart & soul to make it into reality. Keeping this into my mind I joined my family business enterprise “Polymax”, after completing my education in 1983. Polymax, foreign manufacturer’s representative firm under the leadership of Mr. It was the age
nt of various organizations including Boeing Commercial Airplane Company for a long time. I had a great opportunity in working with one of the greatest organization of the world. I worked with Krupp, Niehoff, Stolberger, VAW AG of Germany. By utilizing my relations with the high profile business community of the country we achieved contract of construction of Military Tank Complex for CNCCC, CKD B/W TV of CEIEC, Dalian, and KWH Meter of CMIC, Shaanxi, China. Power Cable Extrusion Line of Nokia-Maillefer, Switzerland. Zinc & Copper from Sumitomo Corporation, Japan. High Tech Laboratory Equipment(Hitachi) from Blue Star Ltd, Aluminum Ingot from NALCO, India. At that time I started maintaining liaison with various level in the business arena both private & government offices. In 1986, apart from others like cable machineries, raw materials, metals I exclusively developed a strong liaison, hands of experience, resources and positive attitude towards international business helped me to make a contract on only by myself with Mehar Industries, a government owned business enterprise to supply CKD B/W TV (parts and components). It was the first time import in Bangladesh and first time export from China of CKD B/W TV. And we began to supply the same to almost all private TV assemblers such as Khan Electronics (KEL), Nippon Electronics (Golden Star), Howlader Electronics (Royal), Hira Industries (Jvco), Narita Electronics, National Electronics (National), Panavision Electronics (Panavision) etc. In 1990 we started assembling of B/W TV in the name of Nihon Electronics Industries Ltd. with one of my friends. After five years in 1995 due to some unavoidable reason we closed Nihon Electronics and in the same year with the grace of Almighty, together Mrs. Ferdousi Begum (wife) and I started assembling B/W TV and later on step by step CTV, Refrigerator, Washing Machine and Air conditioner letting our dream come true “FUJIAN Electronics Industries Ltd”. Fujian established it’s dreamed own factory at BSCIC Industrial Area, Munshigonj which is 25 Km away from Dhaka city with high tech machinery & instruments. It was significantly important mainly because it helped in reducing the cost of importing. Fujian was basically tie-up with Chinese companies such as Henan Xinfei Electric CMIC, Henan, Konka, Shenzen, Chigo Air-Conditioner Co.Ltd, Nanhai, Ningbo Aux imp. & Exp.Co, Ningbo, CEICE, Shenzhen. In 1995 Fujian started assembling CTV, Refrigerator /Freezer but in 2004 we faced marketing problem due to dispersions of fake brands like “Panasonic”, “Sony”, and “Samsung” etc. for which I was unable to compete. But we did not compromise with that unhealthy trend and stuck to the brand Fujian. We were confident and tried our best to stop the duplication and became successful, even it was too late but in the meantime Oriental Bank started facing the crisis and our efforts to pay off loan as well as our hopes were also shattered. Even though, I had lost many things, and most importantly a lot of time which cannot be mended back. But in this journey I didn’t lost my hope. But I believe in Robert H. Schuller sayings “Let your hopes, not your hurts, shape your future”. Though I didn’t had a comfortable life during my hardship days but my hope was with me who made me realize that it can make the present moment less difficult to bear. If we believe that tomorrow will be better, we can bear a hardship today. So finally I got the opportunity and started back my work from the bottom again but this time with the enthusiasm of a new idea, with a new inspiration and with a new initiative named “Fujian Trading” since 2006”. I gave step for working as local agent of Plant and Machinery, Petrochemical & Metal etc.
