The chalet is about 3 miles south of Aviemore in Badenoch and Strathspey on beautiful Speyside situated within the Cairngorm National Park. The Badenoch Way, which is a 16 km foot walk which passes through native woodland offering magnificent views of Highland glens, mountains and river, actually begins at Dalraddy Holiday Park. Aviemore and surrounding area offers a variety of different activitie
s to suit every age group! These include Loch Morlich Water sports where canoeing, kayaking, sailing etc can be tried, Grass sledging at the Hay fields; Skiing at the Cairngorm Mountains, low level walks round Loch Morlich or Loch an Eilein or more adventurous walks up the Cairngorm Mountains! A day out with the kids at Landmark centre is great for all age groups or the Highland Wildlife Park is also good fun. At Dalraddy itself you can arrange to go Quad Biking, Horse riding or fishing or cycle through the park or nearby woods. Chalet 45 is a 4 bedroomed chalet comprising a lobby area with washing machine and tumble drier, ample coat and boot storage and a small toilet with wash hand basin. In the large open plan living area there is a real wood floor throughout, a wood burning stove, two large sofas and some occasional seating in the form of stools with cushions; these can also double up as small tables or even footstools! There is also a TV, Video player, DVD/CD/Radio player and Sky freesat. The dining area has a large extendable natural wood table with ample room for up to 10 people. There is a fully fitted kitchen area with dishwasher, fridge freezer, microwave with grill, 1.5 bowl sink and a 5 burner range cooker. The chalet has 4 bedrooms; 2 double rooms, 1 double bunk room and 1 single bunk room and can accommodate up to 10 people. The main bathroom has a bath and a separate double shower unit in it. There is also a wet room with a further shower and a small sauna which can accommodate up to 3 people. The chalet is gas centrally heated throughout, wood pellets can be purchased for the wood burning stove from the shop at Dalraddy or logs can be purchased at the Garage in Aviemore. The views from the chalet are magnificent; you can even see the Ptarmigan restaurant near the top of the Cairngorm Mountains! Good discounts available for either week long breaks or for short breaks.
