We are 3 friends, roommates and classmates who have recently graduated from the University of Colorado Boulder with Bachelors of Science in Mechanical Engineering. While our classmates enter industry and begin the search for a job and a career, we have decided to embark down a different, more adventurous path. This path will last approximately 7 months and take us from Amsterdam to Indonesia, acro
ss Europe and Asia on motorcycle. Two years ago, when the planning began, we had the typical post-grad travel clichés in mind: wanting to see the world, experience different cultures, become independent, and test ourselves. Since then, we have been working as engineers for Head Rush Technologies, a leading company in providing innovative recreation equipment to the climbing, zip line and adventure industries. Building upon this experience we decided to strap one of their most innovative products, the QUICKJump, to the back of our motorcycles and take it across the world. By bringing such an exciting technology we hope to create unique and more in depth interactions with the local culture and geography. The QUICKJump was designed for adventure parks and the adrenaline j***y. This revolutionary free fall device allows a user to jump from a platform up to 70 feet tall and experience 12 feet of true free fall before being safely lowered to the ground. The device has become a unique part of the trip as we will be searching the geographies and communities we visit for unique places and situations to jump. We will be encouraging all people, adventure seekers and non-adventure seekers alike to give the QUICKjump a try.
