📍 Both my husband and I were born and raised in KC so naturally we are CHIEFS Fans!

📣 I was a Kansas City Chiefs Cheerleader for two seasons! Last season I got to dance on the field at halftime for a CC alumni game. Thanks for that amazing opportunity.

💛 My favorite Chiefs memory was at the 2023 Super Bowl parade when Travis Kelce came right up to Porter to give him a high five.

❤️ My favorite player is Patrick Mahomes!

🏟️ We personally prefer to watch the games from the comfort of our home but my mom is a 15 year season ticket holder. We do attend training camps and different events throughout the year. (We live about 15 min from the stadium.)

I know, I know…people have Chiefs fatigue but this is OUR team and we are here for it!

✨ A travel agent’s commission is already built into every vacation package (whether you use one of us or not) because destinations know that travelers can really benefit from having an expert’s assistance with all of the planning details.

✨ Once my clients travel, then the destination pays me for my assistance with booking and planning their vacations. While some travel agents charge additional fees, my clients do not pay anything additional to me!

Sandals Royal Plantation: Resort recap from one of the four visited in the Ocho Rios area! ☀️🌊

If you’re looking for a luxurious, all-inclusive resort with top-notch service, Sandals Royal Plantation might just be the perfect spot. Here’s a quick breakdown of what makes it so special—and what might make you think twice before booking.

Pros-
💚 Butler Service: This resort is all butler-serviced, and the staff truly goes above and beyond. The team is incredibly friendly and welcoming, making you feel like part of the family.
🖤Amazing Service: From the moment you arrive, the level of service is next to none.
💛Recently Refreshed Rooms
🤍Access to Sandals Ochi: One of the unique perks is the ability to visit Sandals Ochi, just next door. You get to enjoy a larger beach, more restaurants, and additional amenities without leaving the area.
🤍Compact & Convenient: The resort itself is easy to navigate, with everything within walking distance. You don’t have to walk miles just to get to the restaurant or pool.

Cons-
🚌 Long Drive from the Airport: The resort is about 90 minutes or more from the airport.
🏖️ Small Beach: The beach at Sandals Royal Plantation is pretty small compared to other resorts.
🐠Limited Accessibility: With the resort sitting 25 feet above sea level, it might not be the best choice for those with limited mobility.

That’s a wrap on our stay at Sandals Dunn’s River Falls. Here are my thoughts! 💭

Pros:
🌴 It’s a beautiful resort, since it was recently opened everything is shiny and new.
🍹 Food and drinks were fantastic! Our favorite was the sushi at Hanami. 🍣
💚 It’s not a large resort so everything is easily accessible.

Cons:
🚌 The drive from the airport is at least 90 minutes. The roads are great but the travel time added to your flights, depending on your gateway city and length of stay, may deter you from choosing this resort.
🥞 The crowd here felt older and like me they were early risers. At 7:00am Blum coffee shop was the only option open, we luckily had access to room service that allowed us access to food earlier than the restaurants opened.

Day 3️⃣ Recap:

☕️ Started the day with room service (this is only included for club and butler level rooms).

🏨 Did some hotel site tours- stay tuned for more in depth recaps or check out my stories.

🤿 Went snorkeling where we saw a sting ray, an eel and a puffer fish! 🐠 (this is included in your stay)

🐓 Had an afternoon snack at the Jerk Shack- infamous in Jamaica.

💦 Relaxed in the pool and hot tub.

🥩 Finished our night off with at L’amande- French restaurant. This is the only restaurant that requires a reservation, this can be done with your butler, at the concierge desk or within the Sandals app prior to your stay.

Day 2️⃣ Recap:

We started the morning off with coffee ☕️ from the cafe here called Blum. (The Blue Mountain coffee here is something I always look forward to.)

🍳 We at breakfast at Edessa (Greek)

⛰️ Climbed the infamous Dunn’s River Falls

🌊 Relaxed by the ocean

🥢 Ate dinner at Banyu (Asian) and followed that up with late night snacks at the Rum Club! 🍟

Dunn’s River Falls 💦 is a must do when in this area!!

We are not typically “excursion” people but I knew this could possibly be the only time we make it to this side of the Island so we did it. I’m so glad we did!!

🪨 It’s very steep and slippery so keep that in mind.
🪨 You must wear water shoes.
🪨 I suggest staying with the guide, he told us they go through and clean the rocks we will step on every morning. We saw many go off on their own and slip and fall.
🪨 Keep your eyes forward and your head down when exiting the market. We had a fantastic driver who informed us to basically run through the market and I’m glad he gave us that advice.
🪨 We booked it through which is something I can assist with.
