First time in South Africa and first stop for a couple of nights is . What a lovely place this was, our river chalet room was spacious and characterful. The staff were soooo friendly, drinks and food delicious. Our main reason for the stay was to hopefully see the hippos that venture on the grass in front of the hotel restaurant (and hopefully our chalet) in the evenings. Luck was on our side and both nights we were blessed with these amazing creatures just munching on the lush lawns, right by our balcony and in front of the restaurant terrace. What a fabulous stay 🤩
