Wiggle Worms (From apprx. 6 months)

Your little one is very curious and experiencing many things for the first time. Let us help your child with some fun 'first' movement experiences. Your child will have fun creeping and crawling through tunnels, playing with balls in the ball pool, bouncing and swaying to our musical activities and much more. All while developing body and spatial awareness in a

ddition to balance and coordination. Our specially designed hand equipment will help to develop fine motor skills, eye tracking and hand-eye coordination. Busy Bees (Walking to 18 months)

Your child is now walking! Let our program build on this achievement by further developing the necessary skills your child needs to be stronger and more confident on their feet. Activities will focus on body awareness, balance, coordination, rhythm and timing. Our ever changing equipment set up provides many opportunities for exploring and discovering while enhancing cognitive development. This is a time of rapid change for your little one and we are always developing our lessons with this in mind. Tumble Tots (18 months to 3 years)

Your child is becoming more proficient in their movement. Their manipulative skills are beginning to mature and they can handle more complex objects. Our activities are designed to introduce more complex movements and focus on developing hand eye coordination, cross pattern movement, motor planning, spatial awareness and orientation. The use of hand plays, small equipment, musical instruments and parachute play further stimulate the joy of movement. Little Steps (1-2yrs) and Big Steps (2-4 yrs)

We aim to prepare children for going off to 'drop off' style play group with our Little and Big Step Sessions! We provide the structure of a playgroup, but a parent or guardian remains in the class with the child. This allows the children to become more independent at their own pace while benefitting from a stimulating social and educational playgroup environment. Activities include circle time, free time, snack* and story time, a craft activity, sensory play and fitness fun during every class. From time to time we will also have a learning theme that our activities will be centered around to enhance the children's development throughout the term. Play and Learn (2.5-4yrs)

Having previously attended our Big Steps class (this is prerequisite!), its time for your little one to venture into class solo at Play and Learn! Our 1.5 hour play based learning sessions are the prefect length of time for your little ones to play and learn on their own for the very first time – in the company of their peers and with the guidance of our wonderful teachers. With familiar surroundings and familiar faces, the transition to being on their own for the first time aims to be a more gentle and less stressful process. Play and Learn is a twice a week program, as this reduces the settling in time and establishes smooth classroom routines. This in turn boosts your child’s self-confidence at a faster pace. Sessions include circle time, story and snack time, sensory play and arts and crafts. Learning themes each week will enhance the children’s learning and development.

Funfit has been fuelling fantastic fun and facilitating forever friendships in Discovery Bay for over 13 years! We are one of Discovery Bay’s longest running playgroups and provide accompanied classes for children starting from 3 months to 4 years of age!

Located in the Pool Function room at Club Siena, we are very fortunate to overlook the gorgeous South China Sea which provides a bright, natural backdrop for each and every class. Our passionate English speaking teachers are not only experienced early childhood educators but also previous Funfit moms!
