One Day in London: we started off at the Tower Bridge and took the train to a few of our favorite stops. We then went to Royal Victoria to ride the cable cars. This was our first time doing this, and I highly recommend it. Next we went to Churchill's War Room. We have been to Big Ben, Parliament, and Buckingham Palace many times, but this was our first time down in Churchill's Bunker. Then we went to Leicester Square to buy souvenirs, this is Brad's favorite place to shop, because he can haggle with the vendors. Lastly but certainly not least, Brad took me to see Six the Musical on the West End. We have seen a few shows here like Rock of Ages and The Lion King and just like those shows, this one was as good if not better than Broadway. Tomorrow we were supposed to head to Dover to get ready for our 3rd and final cruise of the summer. summer. However, Carnival canceled our cruise tonight. Now we will head home on Friday. This was still an epic summer and we enjoyed every minute of it.

One Day in Athens: today we were back in Athens for the 3rd time this summer. This is Brad’s favorite place. We are staying at our favorite hotel, Marriott’s Fresh Hotel. We ate at our favorite restaurants including Misafir and Little Kook. We shopped at our favorite stores including Aphrodite Jewelry. We are now sitting on the roof of our hotel overlooking the Acropolis.

One Day in Piraeus: it’s debarkation day, again. This was our 7th cruise this year and our 2nd this summer. We only have one more cruise this summer and only 2 more until 2024. Norwegian needs some help with the debarkation process as it was extremely unorganized and very chaotic. Norwegian uses colors instead of numbers and they called way too many colors at a time. Once we got off the boat, there was a porter to meet us and took us straight out to our car that the Fresh had waiting on us. Thankfully, we have been here many times, so we knew what to expect. However, we met many people that this was their first time in Piraeus and they thought they were in Athens and it is not. It’s a good 30 minute cab ride to Athens from the Port of Piraeus.

One Day in Mykonos, Take Two: today we are back in Mykonos and we have had a much better experience. This is our second time here this summer, so we chose not to take a tour, but to just go out and explore on our own. We walked to town, shopped, stopped for some amazing gelato, and just enjoyed the beautiful day. When you come here for the first time, I suggest you take a tour, but after that, I recommend you explore the beautiful island on your own. Tomorrow we are back in Athens for a few days. We are staying at our favorite hotel, Marriott’s Fresh Hotel.

One day in Istanbul: today we visited Istanbul, Turkey. This is a beautiful city with many site-seeing options. We went through 5 seas to get here; The Adriatic Sea, Aegean Sea, Mediterranean Sea, Marmara Sea and into the Black Sea. While here we visited 2 different continents, Europe and Asia. Our tour took us to two different mosques, we did not like it at all. We were able to get some great photos, but we did not like being in the mosques. We then went to a Turkish Carpet store where they were hand making rugs. These rugs are made out of the goat hair on the goats face. After this we went to the Raddison’s banquet hall to have a Turkish feast. We went to the European side and the Asian side. The tour ended with a 1.5 hour boat ride to the Black Sea. Next time we come here we will do the hop-on hop-off tour. On a side note, I was disappointed in the Bazaar.

One Day in Santorini, take 2: today our port of call was Santorinin, Greece. This is the second time we have been here in the past 2 weeks. This time we took the cable car up to Fira for the first time. We shopped for a while, Brad bought me a Greek dress and a pair of Santorini Donkey 🫏 socks. We then took the cable car back down to the port and a tender boat back to the ship. We then captured one of the most beautiful sunsets you will ever see. Brad doesn’t gamble a lot, so he was very excited when he hit his first ever jackpot on the Wizard of Oz slot machine. Tomorrow is a day at Sea and then we are back in Mykonos on Monday.
