Pankisi Valley is a unique place because of its Kist culture, traditions and Sufi religion, which can only be experienced here in Georgia.

Zikr, an ancient spiritual rite, rooted in Sufi mysticism.

Like to the Whirling Dervishes in Turkey, the ritual sees participants move around in a circle at an ever-increasing pace while chanting, singing, and clapping their hands.

Practiced by Muslim communities around the world, Zikr is a way to achieve unity with Allah, God. In Pankisi Valley, many of the Sufi hymns and Nazms are performed in Chechen language. These hymns call for peace and forgiveness.

We had lovely guests from Estonia. They enjoyed time in Tskaltubo resort, had excursions in abandoned sanatoriums and visited local family! ✨ tourstogeorgia

Today Tskaltubo is one of the most-visited abandoned places in Georgia but, as part of the USSR, it was a popular spa resort, famous for its healing mineral waters and radon bath treatments. Tskaltubo’s Soviet-era sanatoriums and bathhouses are often described as abandoned but, that doesn’t really tell the whole story. Although many of the grand buildings are in ruins, some of the bathhouses are still in use, many of the hotels have been repurposed to house refugees from Abkhazia, there are several hotels and guesthouses catering to visitors, and one of Tskaltubo’s most impressive hotels has been (partially) restored to its former glory. Furthermore, Tskaltubo is a working town with a busy market and other services commonplace in other Georgian settlements.

Together with our colleagues we were happy this week host their guests from Sweeden.

They were exploring Georgia- having real Georgian supras (feast), having food masterclasses, wine degustations, museum visits, ancient cave cities exploring and admiring of local mountains.

Our guests from Thailand visited wine region - Kakheti. Its one of most delicious regions in Georgia 🇬🇪😍
They also visited local wine makers family and enjoyed real Georgian supra. An old Georgian saying calls a guest “A gift from God.” The Georgian supra is one of the best ways Georgians show their hospitality.

Georgian social culture is encapsulated in a single ceremonial feast of traditional Georgian cuisine, multitudes of Georgian wine and the traditional Georgian toastmaster – “Tamada”. This banquet is called “Supra”.

The Alphabetic Tower is a 130-meter-high structure in Batumi, Georgia. The tower symbolizes the uniqueness of the Georgian alphabet and people. The structure combines the design of DNA, in its familiar double helix pattern.
