OUR GOAL:
The goal at the Middlesex Icemen is to put forth a program in which players will be provided with an atmosphere of growth and development. We are fully dedicated to the advancement of your child as a hockey player and as a human being, and will educate, instruct, and challenge them to be the ve
ry best that they can be. Our philosophy is to place a primary focus on the development of each player both skill-wise, and as a whole. Our Icemen players will be taught what it takes to be a team player, and will be pushed to their limits in order to further them as hockey players and as young people. ABOUT THE ICEMEN:
Lovell Hockey expanded to the North Shore in 2011, when we took over the Middlesex Braves. We rebranded as the Middlesex Icemen, and quickly became the best skills and development program in the area. Fielding teams from (Mite Development) through Midget, The Icemen have established ourselves as the as top feeder to Catholic and Prep Schools. Each team will receive 2 practice and 1 skills per week. The skills sessions will be run by Lovell Hockey, which is widely considered one of the best skills programs on the East Coast. SKILLS TRAINING:
Each team will receive one skills session per week which will be conducted by the staff of Lovell Hockey. We believe our staff is the best in the business because of our attention to detail, and the results of the players that we have trained speaks for itself. GOALTENDING SKILLS SESSIONS:
Each goaltender will be able to train once a week with our elite goaltending instructor, Rob Liberatore. Rob has served as the Head Goaltending Instructor for various youth programs such as the New Jersey Colonials, Wilkes-Barre Scranton Jr. Knights, and NJ Youth Devils. Rob has worked at countless goaltending schools such as PuckStoppers, JP Elite Goaltending, and Rob Day Goalie Schools. Rob has recently opened up a goaltending studio in Natick, MA, where he trains goaltenders in private session lessons. LEAGUE PLAY:
All Middlesex Icemen teams will be enrolled in the Elite 9 Hockey League and Boston Hockey League. This is a league that endures minimal travel, coupled with some of the strongest competition in the country. In addition, each team will be taking part in a number of elite tournaments, which may include travel. THE PATH:
Our plan is to develop our players from mites through bantams, and then advance them to our unrivaled midget program. Our Under-16 and Under-18 Boston Advantage Teams take part in the Tier 1 Elite Hockey League, the premier midget development league for the past 34 years. Additionally, we are the only program in New England with entry. Some programs like to recruit kids from all over to fill their midget teams, we would prefer to develop ours within, learn their game inside and out, and promote them to the highest level possible.
