La Notte della Taranta - pagina ufficiale takes place in Salento, Puglia and is specifically dedicated to the rediscovery and promotion of traditional Salento music.
☀️It is a summer long festival culminating in the Concertone, the grand concert in Melpignano held last night on 24th August 2024.
☀️During the summer there are smaller concerts all over Salento.
☀️ Last summer, I experienced CGS Canzoniere Grecanico Salentino in Galatina-the birthplace of the legend.
🤩The traditional dances, trancelike tamburello drum, violin, accordion, harmonica, guitar, sometimes keyboard and other instruments, the voice singing the songs in traditional Griko language creates this incredible sensory experience!
🤩The history of the dance, music & mysticism the culmination of everything that feeds my soul- one of the many reasons why I feel so connected to Puglia.
🎶♥️These are the experiences I want you to share with you on my tours to Puglia!
This Is Focaccia Barese and is one of my Favorite Puglia foods!
😍In Puglia the yeasted dough is made with local golden semola flour and mashed potato-topped with fresh little tomatoes 🍅 fragrant dried oregano 🌿, sometimes local olives, but always generously slathered with delicious puglia olive oil!
This creates the fluffy inside and crunchy outside of epic deliciousness!
My favorite is from @cucinainmasseria !
♥️🍅😍
On our Puglia tours , we stay at Rita Guastamacchia magical masseria and learn to cook traditional puglia food including this amazing focaccia!
😍🇮🇹Come to Puglia with us in October!

I love this mural by @antoniocotecchia in the Sanità district in Naples. Federica of Mindthenap brought me here for the first time and I am so happy to be back in Naples so that I could return to see it again.
Look at the color of this water!
This is the Adriatic Sea in Puglia in summer!
I went on a fabulous ocean adventure with Minerva Noleggio to venture into the caves that are only possible to visit by boat and swim in this warm, azure sea!
It was heavenly!
I can’t wait to share this experience with you!
This is the Castro Marina on the Adriatic Sea side of southern Puglia!
🌊Yes, the sea is really this blue and crystal clear! Yes-it looks exactly like this-no filter!!
🤩I was just here doing research for 2024 tours!
☀️Coming to Puglia in summer is so much fun!
❤️Do you think I should I do a summer tour next year? Let me know what you think?
🇮🇹
🌊
☀️
All the deliciousness you can you find at a roadside stand in Puglia!
🤩
Fresh & dried hot 🌶️, air-dried eggplant 🍆, tomatoes 🍅, cactus fruit (the first time I had it and there is the inside of it in yellow), pumpkin, olives and olive oil !
On my tours-the unexpected things you just discover on your way to somewhere can sometimes be just as fabulous as your planned experiences!
Have you ever seen the tool how the olives are harvested from the trees?
In Puglia a motorized comb, called “il pettine” in Italian, is used to gently remove the olives which then fall on the net below.
🫒🇮🇹
Would you like to participate in the olive harvest? It’s an immersive way to have a deeper travel experience!
We have this experience while we are at Cucina in Masseria, Homestay cooking in Italy on our Autumn tours.

US Rails in Berlin!
One of the things that I learned from my Hot Seat Arival in Berlin is that music needs to take a larger part in my tours.
Did you know that I am also musician?
(I am also an insurance broker and have amazing clients but we’ll get to that later).
This is one of the things that i will incorporate in my small group tours to Italy!
❤️🎶Music 🎶❤️
We will experience music from traditional to modern interpretations and everything in between!
🎶
Not a very good transition but at the same time as when I was in Berlin US Rails made a tour stop too! I skipped the Arival party and went to see a show in the tiniest venue ever.
Music always soothes my soul.
Caffe Shakerato!
Here is my favorite coffee drink that I make in the summer!
It’s my take on the Caffe Shakerato!
The traditional version is prepared by shaking together a shot of espresso and simple sugar syrup that is shaken with ice cubes until frothy. It is typically strained and served in a martini glass.
If you make this, post your picture so we can see it!
Piazza Dante at night! It’s Cold but the piazza is filled with music!
In these times, the sweet sound of music that fills the air is just a little bit sweeter .
I will never take for granted these special experiences. These little things fills my heart with such emotions.
This is the Naples I want to share with you. It’s very very special.
We have itineraries up in the website, come visit us there

Aerial photography of the breathtaking Amalfi Coast courtesy of the #sitabus and my impeccable timing for getting on the bus at sunset!
Can we talk about this amazing view?!?!
Although freezing (totally worth it), there is even snow on Vesuvius!
I am spending the next two days with Federica from Mindthenap
We are walking up, down and all around Naples and it’s glorious✨

This is Capua Amphitheater in Santa Maria Capua Vetere, Campania Italy! 🇮🇹
The town of Santa Maria Capua Vetere is a medieval descendant of Ancient Capua, one of the largest and most important cities of the ancient world— famous for its many monuments of Roman times, including the Amphitheater Campano, second only in size to the Colosseum of Rome.
Ancient Capua was founded by the Etruscans in the fifth century BC, and was on the Via Appia, making it the most important city in the area. It was home to, among other things,
the famous gladiatorial school that became the scene of the famous Spartacus revolt.
It is also the hometown of my close friend and pizzaiolo @mariocecere. One of our day trips, we explore this archeological wonder and of course stop to eat delicious things before and after. Link in bio for info on our Naples tours!!! 🛫🧳

Have you ever heard of Pasticceria Sal De Riso - Minori? It is a world-renowned Pasticceria (a pastry shop) in the seaside village of Minori on the Amalfi Coast! 🍰🥐😍
This place is AMAZING! It is filled with the
MOST delicious and beautiful desserts! We ALWAYS make sure to go here on the Naples tour, it is a must! 🎉
