New listing! La Muna located in Aspen, CO, USA by Oppenheim Architecture (2012). Having endured “30 years of haphazard construction,” we can only imagine what this stunning house looked like “before.” We love the use of reclaimed wood (everywhere!), the gray color palette, and the wabi-sabi aesthetic. This house is perfectly imperfect. Well done! 4 bedrooms/4.5 baths. USD $2930 avg/night.

Fogo Island Inn will be hosting a special engagement long-weekend this May that is right up our alley. Newfoundland-born, Norway-based architect Todd Saunders (Saunders Architecture) will be in residence at the Inn from May 18-22, 2018. He is the architect of this globally-acclaimed contemporary structure which reflects the four-centuries-old vernacular architecture and design aesthetics of outport Newfoundland and Fogo Island.

Todd will be leading guided architecture walks, talks, and other immersive activities for guests throughout the course of the weekend. Here is a link to the event

On a remote island of 2000 inhabitants, Zita Cobb has created an environment where world-class architects, leading international contemporary artists, gifted local crafts people, and design-loving visitors can rub shoulders and exchange ideas.
