Air Dash: Guyana’s First Luxury Aviation Service Takes Off

Travel between Georgetown and the Cheddi Jagan International Airport (CJIA) in Timehri is now possible in just ten minutes, thanks to Air Dash, Guyana’s first luxury aviation service, introduced by Roraima Airways on Monday.

Air Dash is a premier air transportation provider designed to transform corporate travel in Guyana. Currently, its services operate between Georgetown, Vreed-en-Hoop, the gas-to-shore energy project, and Essequibo, with plans for expansion.

Passengers will be transported in the Airbus H125 helicopter, which accommodates up to four persons per trip, ensuring a swift and comfortable journey.

According to Air Dash Director, Gerry Gouveia Jr., as Guyana experiences rapid development, the demand for faster and more efficient transportation is growing.

“We see this service as a way to simplify travel in Guyana,” Gouveia Jr. stated. “Instead of spending an hour or more navigating the city, we can now do it in just ten minutes. This is about linking Guyana and advancing our aviation industry.”

Hidden Gem Highlight: Warapoka is a Warrau community located along the Waini River in Region One, Essequibo.

Lots of immersive activities to enjoy including Harpy eagle spotting, hiking & tarpon fishing.

I especially loved learning all about the local coffee, it was delicious paired with mouth watering home made meals.

Accommodation is comfortable but what made the visit special ? The people, they are warmth and welcoming.

Always on the go, happy Sunday VGers.

Our Story :Visit Guyana

The Visit Guyana page was started by Stacey Dos Santos Rahaman and is run by Her and husband Chris Rahaman

Shortly after leaving her job at the Guyana Tourism Authority, Stacey left Guyana to further her studies. While overseas she started looking for a suitable website to direct people to who constantly asked her about Info on Guyana and was shocked to see all the negativity online about Guyana. There was not one website or social media page which showcased a positive side of Guyana. The idea for visit Guyana was born.

“I remember being on my computer one night at 9 and Chris (My Husband and Co-founder) turned to me and said, “Why don’t you do something with that visit Guyana page”. I put up 2 posts and invited about 25 people and went to bed. When I woke up that number had grown to 200, by the next week we had 10,000 fans which have steadily grown to 139,000. I was amazed. Visitors wanted to learn more about Guyana. Guyanese overseas wanted things to remind them of home. The journey to create a 100% positive space to showcase all things Guyanese had begun.

Visit Guyana is privately owned and has no Government affiliation. However we do work closely with all tourism bodies and stakeholders in Guyana.
