When traveling with someone on the spectrum planning and visuals are always extremely helpful! That’s why all of my clients receive a pre-travel packet that includes paper maps and a height chart so that they are adequately prepared before arriving at the parks. Assuring a child knows that they are not tall enough for a ride prior to getting there or placing a large X over a ride that may be closed for refurbishment during their travel dates can help set expectations prior to arriving.

This is an Animal Kingdom must!

The Kilimanjaro Safari at Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park is unique for its immersive experience through African landscapes, featuring live animals in natural habitats.

Money Saving Monday!

Do your children love novelty lollipops? Do they ask for one every time they see one? Do they take 3 licks then hand it back? Do you try to save it by lossy wrapping it up and shoving it in your pocket because you just spent $5 on it? My money, and sanity saving hack is to purchase these mini versions before hand. Get a packet of character stickers and place one on each lollipop. When you enter a shopping location pull one out like Mary Poppins and shop away! Then when they no longer want it you won’t feel bad just throwing this one away. And no more sticky mess found later that night when you reach into your pocket!
