Today is the day we've been waiting for! It is the last time Newton Illinois will see totality in a solar eclipse until 2099. The day is shaping up to be beautiful and even great temps. Come enjoy the pancake breakfast at the Grace United Methodist Church, then join us at the fairgrounds for the Superstars, the Sun and the Moon. Plenty of activities all through Jasper County. Storytime for the littles at 10:30 this morning at Newton Public Library, talks and activities going on at the fairgrounds starting at 10 and Eclipse Party's at several other local venues. West End West End Reception and Events will have music and food trucks after the eclipse is over so you can wait for the traffic to die down from there. Happy Total Eclipse of the Heart(land)!

We are just 24 HOURS away from Jasper County's Total Eclipse of the Heart(land) at the Jasper County Fairgrounds. Come and have family fun playing Eclipse Bingo with Donna Rardin from the Illinois Birth to Five, Region 12 program! In the Floral Hall @ 10:30!

Coming to town Sunday for the eclipse? Our Drive 'N Theatre is hosting a ONE NIGHT ONLY showing of Luca! Gates open at 6, movie starts at 7. Then, head back out to the Drive 'N the next day for the eclipse viewing!
