It is Prom season and I have several dresses that need alterations. This one needed the zipper taken in a little bit. This is the finished picture.

Other dresses need hemmed and taken in on the sides and one even needs a bustle added.

I do quilting for other people also. This is a snowflake/snowman quilt that my friend made and I quilted for her. All of my quilting is free motion on my Bernina with stitch regulation. I don't have a long arm.

With the new year here and inflation rising I am reevaluating the charge for my alteration services. I have had the same prices for a decade and feel that a price increase is needed in order to stay relevant.

This being said, I will probably still be one of the cheapest places for alterations.

The new price for hemming a pair of pants will be $8 instead of $6. Prom or formal dresses will be $10 for 1 layer and $8 each additional layer. Minimum that you will pay for services is $5.

Just finished redoing this Vintage memory quilt for a client. This quilt was originally a tied quilt and was very well loved and falling apart. I salvaged most of the blocks except the edges. I added a new backing and batting and quilted it together. I then sewed a new binding along the edges.

Now moving on to 8 Prom dresses to alter.

More vintage and homemade vintage items.

The birds and flower Planter is from the 60's, I think. It is well loved but can still be used for a new plant or other items.

There is also an embroidered piece, 1 Corinthians 13: 4-7, embroidered onto a vintage quilt piece and framed in a vintage embroidery hoop.

And finally a cute little vintage hand embroidered kitten salvaged from an old baby quilt and given new life as a pillow.
