NUTTY BUDDY TALKS
TEA AT THE EMPRESS, VICTORIA….A UNIQUE EXPERIENCE FOR ME..
On one of my trips to Vancouver which was primarily work related …I decided to keep a day for sightseeing…. stately Victoria the Capital city of British Columbia was on my wish list and above all the afternoon Tea at the Empress was a priority…..
So hopped on a helicopter…and in 30 minutes I was in Victoria…I first booked myself in the desired time slot for tea and proceeded for the city sightseeing.
The Empress Fairmont is a landmark Victoria hotel… which graces the city's stunning Inner Harbour with an iconic presence...it has been the social centre piece of Vancouver Island since opening in 1908.
HOT AND STEAMY SINCE 1908
Tea at the Empress was amongst the unique tea experiences I had....
A grand tradition for over a century, the hotel has served England’s most beloved ritual of afternoon tea to famed royalty and celebrities….obviously I was feeling like one too... I sat by myself in the timeless, sophisticated lobby lounge which overlooked the bay….from the table linens to the crockery....the tea servings of choice were complemented by the house – made scones, pastries, sandwiches, etc…all reflected a classic Victoria experience..
It was definitely an impressionable experience for me still remembered..!
