Welcome to the Jungle!

I spoke to a repeat client who wants to go someplace new and warm for this milestone birthday. I asked him if he wanted something relaxing or did he want to do or experience anything specific. He said that he'd like a place that offered a little adventure and beaches. I suggested Costa Rica and he was intrigued!

I'm going to suggest this lush and secluded eco-friendly retreat. The property is beautiful and recently refreshed. It's located between the exotic forests and unspoiled beaches of the North Pacific Riviera. There's a lot to do on-site and I like that they have a variety of dining options too.

He'll able to enjoy beach and pool time (there's an adults-only pool and an adults lounge). To get his adrenaline pumping, he can ATV or zipline in the jungle, hike to a waterfall or volcano, learn to surf, or jet-ski. And to restore balance, the resort's extensive spa menu offers a variety of treatments to indulge such as the coconut oil + hot shells massage treatment.

✅ Beginning on May 7, 2025, all passengers must have a REAL ID license in order to board a domestic flight. If you don’t have one, you’ll need to present your valid passport.

🌞 Adventure or Leisure? How about both! I just met with new clients who are thinking about French Polynesia to celebrate their milestone anniversary. They're intrigued by staying in an overwater bungalow, but aren't sure what they could do or see or even how to get to French Polynesia. We talked about their travel style, proposed dates, and budget range. I shared some details on this part of the South Pacific to see if it's a good match.

The Islands of Tahiti (aka French Polynesia) are one of the most beautiful and diverse environments on earth for those who seek a little adventure and tropical relaxation. Did you know that there are 118 islands that make up French Polynesia? It's comprised of 5 archipelagos, each with its own blend of Polynesian and French cultures!

🇨🇴 Buenos Tardes, Friends! My travel partners are always sharing tips and reasons for visiting their destination. They have the insider knowledge, expertise, and the passion to help personalize and realize the travel wishes of my clients.

I wandered the streets of Cartagena’s historic centre, a UNESCO world heritage site, with Fernando, a fascinating expert guide and someone who grew up in the Cartagena neighborhood of Getsemani. He shared his personal stories and we talked about the city’s culture, food, and people. We explored the colorful streets of Getsemani and walked through his old neighborhood. He pointed out how people love to play dominos and parchessi (we walked by several games in session), and we stopped at the local market to sample his favorite snacks. Colombians love pastries!

We also stopped by the legendary Cafe Havana Bar so I could get a sneak peek inside (Fernando has connections)

Afterwards, he walked me back to my boutique hotel, a former 17th century mansion, then a high school, which is located within the walled city of Cartagena de Indias.

I highly recommend hiring an experienced, local private guide when experiencing a destination. They have the insider knowledge and perspective on the local history, impact, traditions, cultural celebrations. They can share hidden gems and their own personal stories to really bring the essence of a location to life.
