To mark the 80th Anniversary of D-Day members of the Auster Club met at Falaise Aérodrome. 11 Austers made the trip from England, the Netherlands and France. It was a rare occasion and great photo opportunity to have 2 Mk1s, a Mk3, 3 Mk5, 2 AOP6, 1 AOP9 and 2 J/1s all together 👏

An enjoyable day was spent in the historic town in the morning and then socializing with a bbq later.

Many thanks to Falaise Aérodrome ( Pierre -Yves🙏) for a very warm welcome once again and letting us have our gathering, and to everyone for their efforts in supporting the IAC and helping to make this a memorable day 🪖💐

Hi Everyone, here is a selection of Austers that visited the LAA Grass Roots Fly-In at Popham this weekend. A special mention to Nigel Huxtable's Auster J/4 Archer which won Best Auster, Best Classic (Roy Mills Trophy) and the BEST IN SHOW [Concours D' Elegance] The Prince Michael of Kent Trophy.
You'll notice that one picture isn't an Auster ;-) but as the owner Kerry is in the club and his Auster is in Australia I thought I would show his other aircraft which is registered in Austria. Many of the photos are from Andy wood and some other posts so thanks to them too.

Calling all Auster Pilots in the Uk!

It’s the 50th Anniversary of the IAC this year and it’s your chance to support the club and celebrate during the weekend 1-3 September at Wickenby. Details of the activities are on the website and in your email inbox 😉.
So far there has been a limited response which is disappointing but understandable considering the recent weather.
However, assuming the sun will be shining it would be great to get a large turnout of Austers as it’s been several years since we had 20+ at an event.
Last week the Moth Club had a large attendance at Turweston, so let’s see if we can do the same.
Charles has created an interesting itinerary including a visit to a Lancaster and Mosquito at East Kirby.
He now needs you to confirm your attendance (urgently 😉) as per the email that was sent out.
