Mafuta’s Heritage Park is en route the King Shaka Heritage route and the park is situated on the foot of the Mavivane Cliff on the banks of the Mavivane stream. Both land marks, feature significantly in the life of King Shaka and the history of the Zulu nation. On the King Shaka Heritage Route our visitors will find Mafuta’s Heritage Park to be the ideal watering hole. The kiddies play facilities

like the jungle gym, the dirt and water definitely makes for the kids dream playground. Mafuta’s farmhouse kitchen boasts a sumptuous menu of unique South African flavours. We tailor visitors packages to suit your requirements & taste, be it short visits or a day at the park. Mafuta’s Heritage Park encompasses and embraces history, heritage & the natural environment. Mafuta’s farmhouse is also part of the heritage. Built in the early 1900’s by the Mafuta sons it became home to the Mafuta family ever since. The goings on at the park resemble the age old traditions... relax with a frosty under the tree at the riverside; a stop for a sure treat, fresh out the farmhouse kitchen; meeting around the fire on a cold night or spending time celebrating with friends & family in a relaxed open space. Kids & Educators of STANGER TRAINING CENTRE will be treated to a day out tomorrowat Thatha's Farm. Lunch will be sponsored by Mafuta's Farmhouse Kitchen.
