We didn't have time for a lot of waterfall stops on our Great Ocean Road trip last year, but we sure are glad we made time to visit this one!
Erskine Falls is just outside the town of Lorne and it's beautiful! You can view it from the top, but if you're up for it, we recommend doing the walk to the bottom. Yeah, there's quite a few stairs.
230 stairs. But what a beautiful reward for your efforts.
There are a few longer walking tracks if you're keen for more. The whole area is stunning and worth exploring!
Is this the best waterfall on the Great Ocean Road or did we miss something even more spectacular?
I just wanna be in some of the videos 😂😂 Who else is adding ‘family photographer & videographer’ to the many hats you wear?
Childhood rushes by far too fast!
I watched a video recently where adults were asked about their favourite childhood moments and then kids were asked the same. They all said playing computer games, watching videos and pretty much just being screen-obsessed. It broke my heart! We try and balance the two but their childhood is still nothing like ours were and it’s so sad! 😢 But a good reminder to enjoy these little moments with them because they are the big moments in childhood!
It felt like we hadn't really been far or done much this year but actually we have! That explains why 2024 is going so ridiculously fast maybe! A houseboat, a motorhome trip and some mini escapes thrown in.
How is your 2024 shaping up so far?
Life is short and the world is wide ❤️
There are some places that just leave you without words and you just can't wait to see them again.
One of those places that always comes to mind for me when people ask what the most beautiful places I've ever been to are is Lake Tekapo in New Zealand. This small village in the middle of New Zealand's South Island is just so postcard-perfect!
We visited in the middle of winter and the snow-capped mountains behind that ridiculously turquoise-coloured water just made it even more magical. This is also where you will find one of the darkest skies in the world, perfect for stargazing. And spotting the Southern Lights if you're lucky!
What's a place for you that left you speechless?
Is there a better way to see Australia than on an Aussie road trip? I think not!
Australia is just so freaking huge so it's the best way to stop and see all the cool little hidden gems along the way between the more well known destinations.
Where will out next Aussie road trip be? No idea but there's still so many places even we haven't had the chance to explore. Maybe South Australia is calling soon. Or another Tassie trip? Or NT? And then there's always more of WA to see next year...
Where are you headed on your next road trip?
I will never ever stop being excited by random wildlife encounters! And not to be biased at all, but we really do have some of the coolest wildlife in Australia. What do you think?
Is anyone else so hyper-aware of this the older you get? I want it all to slow down!!!
There are some pretty epic views of the Gold Coast and I got to enjoy 2 of the best ones in a single day! We visited Q1 Skydeck at the top of Q1 Resort & Spa (level 77) with the fam, then spent a few nights on level 75 again of Meriton Suites Surfers Paradise. Really, either view is hard to beat but which would you prefer?
Ferry rides on Sydney Harbour hit differently. Especially as the sun begins to set 🙌

One of our favourite road trips ever! What's yours?
It's a healthy type of obsession at least! What's yours?
⬇️ HERE’S WHAT WE THINK!
The short answer - absolutely! Disney cruises are known for their higher price tag but let’s consider what you get:
⛴️ All your meals including their rotational dining experience which is something truly special! Fine dining and 24 hour room service plus all-you-can-eat ice cream and poolside snacks. It also includes soft drink, water & juice.
⛴️ Theatre quality productions. If you paid per person for 2-3 theatre shows of this quality on broadway, that’s would cost a substantial amount. These are included!
⛴️ Onboard entertainment - almost every type of entertainment is included. Trivia, learn to draw, character meet and greet, deck parties & of course, slides and pools.
⛴️ Free kids club. There are kids clubs from toddler to teen included and they run late!
⛴️ Exceptional service. Yeah, gratuities are expected but the service you get on board is next level. Your same servers follow you to each restaurant and learn your likes. Daily turndown service and room cleaning and friendly faces everywhere!
When you weigh up all of this, the premium price tag isn’t quite so high.
