On November 10, the EU will officially launch the Entry/Exit System (EES), a major step in modernizing border management.

Once the EES launches, all foreigners will have to register into the system

This automated system will register (and store for three years) the data of foreign travelers entering the EU for short stays, whether they need a visa or not.
With EES, travelers won't need to re-register each time they enter or exit the EU.

The EU Commission has officially confirmed the launch date of the EU’s new Entry/Exit System (EES). In a speech at eu-LISA, the European Commissioner for Home Affairs, Ylva Johansson, revealed that the EES would enter into operation on November 10, 2024, Schengen.News reports. Did you know Prosecco is a beloved Italian tradition dating back to at least 1772?

When seeking premium Prosecco, focus on the label rather than the price tag.
The finest Prosecco bears the coveted DOCG designation, ensuring authenticity and origin.

It originates from a protected area in Italy and is cherished for its versatility. Whether enjoyed as an aperitif, alongside meals, or as a dessert wine, Prosecco complements a variety of occasions.

It's particularly delightful when paired with cured meats or transformed into a refreshing Bellini with a splash of peach puree. Salute!

It is particularly famous for its blue and gold colors and its representation of knights, nobles and courtly life.

The most interesting pieces are the canisters with covers that are used in old spice stores and pharmacies around Italy.

Beyond taste, food brings people together. Whether it's a family dinner or a lively meal with friends at a bustling trattoria.

In Italy it is always more than the food—it's about sharing moments and creating memories.

A small village that stands at the foot of a promontory and overlooks the sea, Cefalu' is part of the "Borghi più belli d'Italia" association ("The most beautiful villages in Italy"), and attracts thousands of visitors every year.

It is one of the most fashionable seaside hamlet , with vintage vibes and the most authentic Sicilian fashion.

The Cathedral, like that of Monreale, is UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Its fine mosaics (1148 AD), featuring an image of Christ Pantocrator in the apse, are often celebrated as the purest Byzantine works of art on Sicilian soil.

The location, between the mountain and the sea, creates an extraordinary diverse combination. Hiking, trekking, relaxation, nature, food, art, beach.

Cefalù represents the synthesis of so many different vibes, finding in its versatility a key point of its appeal.

Lake Como is a food paradise particularly for fish lovers and those who like a more earthy cuisine.

Fresh fish is caught daily on the lake and impeccably prepared by passionate local chefs.

Try “missoltini” - a dried pressed lake fish - grilled and served with polenta. Pair it with one of the wines from Valtellina.

Have risotto, a must when in Lombardy and taste the local cheeses and cold cuts from Brianza.

A visit to the Borromean Islands is a must when you visit Lake Maggiore.

Start with Isola Bella, a small island with its stunning villa and gardens and head to Isola Madre or Isola dei Pescatori for lunch.

Another stunning attraction you may consider - a 30' ride by private boat - is the Hermitage of Santa Caterina del Sasso, a church perched on a rocky cliff overlooking the lake.

In recent years, Sicilian wine, has gained significant recognition on global tables - particularly labels like Planeta, Occhipinti, and Tasca d’Almerita,

From the volcanic slopes of Etna (Etna Rosso anyone?) to the warm regions of the south, and the vibrant vineyards at Marsala, Sicilian winemakers leverage local knowledge and expertise with indigenous grapes like Catarratto and Nero d’Avola, as well as internationally renowned varietals such as chardonnay.

I often hear the question, "Where can I have an even more 'Italian' experience?" When it comes to Tuscany, my recommendation is: the Maremma area.

This is a lesser-explored part of the region at the southern end that Italians love.

Inland, you'll discover winding roads bordered by vineyards and farms leading to Etruscan ruins, thermal hot springs, and medieval villages.

On the coast, hills covered with pine trees slope down to rocky swimming coves and beaches.

In Maremma, you truly get the best of both worlds: the Tuscan countryside and the sea.

Here, you can immerse yourself in a truly authentic Italian experience. Spend a few days exploring the area, visit the Parco Regionale della Maremma (where you can see the Italian Cowboys, called Butteri), enjoy wine tasting in Bolgheri, hike, sightsee, and sail on the Tyrrhenian Sea.

Ischia remains a traditional place with tiny villages scattered among chestnut-and-pine forests, old vineyards and white tufa.

The island’s 103 volcanic springs are a big draw. There are many thermal baths and pools around the island and inside hotels.

Throughout the course of its history, everyone from the Greeks to the Bourbons left their mark here. In the island main town, do not miss the famous Aragonese castle, which is set on a rocky islet accessed by a causeway in Ischia Ponte, the older part of town.
